I'll conceed that

2019-10-12 15:10:22 UTC

you would also need to make literally all requirements exactly the same

2019-10-12 15:10:38 UTC

To an extent

2019-10-12 15:10:45 UTC

Since those roles risk combat

2019-10-12 15:10:49 UTC

Front-line combat

2019-10-12 15:10:55 UTC

However nowhere near as much

2019-10-12 15:11:02 UTC

I think the requirement should be the same though a Chef should be just as combat effective as an infantryman if he is serving on the front lines

2019-10-12 15:11:17 UTC

they will never be 4ST

2019-10-12 15:11:20 UTC

Not in current warfare such as counter insurgency

2019-10-12 15:11:28 UTC

Training is different once past basic

2019-10-12 15:11:34 UTC

But very much so in maneuver warfare

2019-10-12 15:11:46 UTC

Where the army is moving back to and focusing on again

2019-10-12 15:11:50 UTC

4ST?

2019-10-12 15:11:56 UTC

your name

2019-10-12 15:11:59 UTC

i cba typing it all

2019-10-12 15:12:03 UTC

ah makes sense now hahaha

2019-10-12 15:12:44 UTC

Every soldier does basic

2019-10-12 15:12:52 UTC

people normally go with 4sided so through me.

2019-10-12 15:12:54 UTC

Next phase is different depending on profession

2019-10-12 15:13:10 UTC

So REME will do engineering training

2019-10-12 15:13:11 UTC

etc

2019-10-12 15:13:15 UTC

Learning how to work on tanks

2019-10-12 15:13:25 UTC

Infantry will hit advanced infantry tactics

2019-10-12 15:13:51 UTC

A infantryman will ALWAYS be much more proficient and have more demanded of them physically than REME or a chef

2019-10-12 15:14:00 UTC

"Maneuver warfare advocates that strategic movement can bring about the defeat of an opposing force more efficiently than by simply contacting and destroying enemy forces until they can no longer fight. Instead, in maneuver warfare, the destruction of certain enemy targets (command and control centers, logistical bases, fire support assets, etc.) is combined with isolation of enemy forces and the exploitation by movement of enemy weaknesses."

2019-10-12 15:14:05 UTC

What's your thoughts on a reduced number of soldiers but with a higher degree of training and higher physical requirements. Infantry + but not SAS

2019-10-12 15:14:11 UTC

"the destruction of certain enemy targets (command and control centers, logistical bases, fire support assets, etc.) is combined with isolation of enemy forces and the exploitation by movement of enemy weaknesses"

2019-10-12 15:14:14 UTC

What we have now 4ST

2019-10-12 15:14:22 UTC

They are THE target in Maneuver warfare

2019-10-12 15:14:30 UTC

We spend almost double on a standard soldier than the US spend on a marine

2019-10-12 15:14:51 UTC

and the training is longer

2019-10-12 15:14:51 UTC

I'm thinking to an even greater degree Josh

2019-10-12 15:15:06 UTC

you specialise yourself out of effectivness

2019-10-12 15:15:18 UTC

and each soldier is more of a hit if lost

2019-10-12 15:15:26 UTC

Not only that but requirements go up

2019-10-12 15:15:35 UTC

so you have a much smaller pool to pick from

2019-10-12 15:15:50 UTC

The soldiers you are looking for are Paras

2019-10-12 15:15:54 UTC

And we have them

2019-10-12 15:15:58 UTC

they are just hard to find

2019-10-12 15:16:03 UTC

because they are fucking crazy
