An infantryman needs:
Mid Thigh Pull 76kg
Medicine Ball Throw 3.1m
2km run 10m 15s
A chef needs:
Mid Thigh Pull 46kg
Medicine Ball Throw 2.9m
2km run 11m 15s (11m 30s for Junior Entry)
there is different requirements
requirement for infantry soldier

This is the key point
beat me to it
For your opinion to be valid
I'll conceed that
you would also need to make literally all requirements exactly the same
To an extent
Since those roles risk combat
Front-line combat
However nowhere near as much
I think the requirement should be the same though a Chef should be just as combat effective as an infantryman if he is serving on the front lines
they will never be 4ST
Not in current warfare such as counter insurgency
Training is different once past basic
But very much so in maneuver warfare
Where the army is moving back to and focusing on again
your name
i cba typing it all
ah makes sense now hahaha
Every soldier does basic
people normally go with 4sided so through me.
Next phase is different depending on profession
So REME will do engineering training
etc
Learning how to work on tanks
Infantry will hit advanced infantry tactics
A infantryman will ALWAYS be much more proficient and have more demanded of them physically than REME or a chef
"Maneuver warfare advocates that strategic movement can bring about the defeat of an opposing force more efficiently than by simply contacting and destroying enemy forces until they can no longer fight. Instead, in maneuver warfare, the destruction of certain enemy targets (command and control centers, logistical bases, fire support assets, etc.) is combined with isolation of enemy forces and the exploitation by movement of enemy weaknesses."
What's your thoughts on a reduced number of soldiers but with a higher degree of training and higher physical requirements. Infantry + but not SAS

What we have now 4ST
They are THE target in Maneuver warfare
We spend almost double on a standard soldier than the US spend on a marine
and the training is longer
I'm thinking to an even greater degree Josh
