Surprised no one with actual talent has made anything like it, but if it has been made I can't find it. I find the image of Priti the Barbarian hillarious, but can't seem to find any memes... thus, talentless potato meme I make. XD
Ok. This is all I could do this morning. I’m not sure about the rocks in the waterfall. There’s a really bad glare because of the liquin. But I’d like to lighten up the sky a bit. Giving me fits but it has to be done by Sunday so I’m kinda out of time. Suggestions and input are welcome. I should be able to do one more glaze. And some highlights.
If you're gonna keep the rocks, be sure to highlight them. The sky looks fine to me. Overall, the piece makes it easy to imagine you're looking at an alien landscape.
Cool. Thank you for the input. I appreciate it and yes. I just put those in there as placeholders. We shall see. I'll know on Sunday when I bring it to the contest people and see how they react to it. I'm also going to try to get some pictures of the other work that people are entering.
@RhinoMaxTV the background landscape might need a bit more highlighting. It doesn't seem qute as lluminated as the sky suggests and, at least on my monitor, looks to blend into each other. But it might look dfferent to you in the flesh. If my suggestn doesnt feel right, ignore.
@RhinoMaxTV - the moon / planet on its right side has what looks like a drop shadow on the sky. If you imagine the sky as one field of colours and activity, and then the moon as its own thing in front of it - it's a better way to think about it. Otherwise, you get that look of 'painting around' an object.
@SmileTitans yes. I see that. I had to redefine the planet in order to make it round again. I'm going to fix that today. Next time I do this, I will do the background first completely and then put the planet on top of it that way, the sky stays consistent. Not doing that from the beginning has been the cause of lots of wasted time. @juryrigging You may be right, but I havent looked at it and there is a lot of glare from the liquin I was using. I will see when I get back into the studio.
