“Communism cannot work because the natural fixed human nature is usually more competitive rather than cooperative.”
Agree or disagree?
Neither, it’s a bit of a skewed question
ancap wont work because you have ppl that are naturally followers and submissive
Or, not neither, but both
I’ve always held a belief tied to Dunbar’s number (essentially, the number of relationships an individual can actively maintain before “friends” becomes “acquaintances”, typically around 100-200), that communism can work in groups smaller than that number, but as populations rise to meet or exceed that number, the system begins to fall apart as competition takes precedent over cooperation in a crowd
That’s why a hippie commune of 60-80 people may operate like a dream, but a massive state with tens of millions cannot maintain the system without destroying the freedoms of those caught within it
but I’m not an economist, so I might be wrong
So, TL;DR, the natural human nature is not fixed either way, it adapts to the environment, and the environment determines why communism will or will not work at different scales, but usually the more people that you force to cooperate, the more likely it is that some will find reasons not to cooperate, and the order falls apart

He had a dream
people being naturally competitive has nothing to do with communism not working
Ewe who even likes communism
unless you're a hardcore ideological communist
social bonds give evolutionary advantage
if we were only competitive we wouldn't've survived
we’re both competitive AND cooperative
we’re tribal
we form groups within which we will cooperate freely, but there’s a limit to the size of those groups
forcing 293,000,000+ people to be in one wholly cooperative, non-competitive group can only lead to disaster
i concur
forcing big masses of people together leads to disaster
khm khm today's system
yeah thats gay
No u
why did we ever move out of tribal life
or like to big societies
Because we are smart
yet we ruined it for ourselves
@ApplicationBot you are right, I should have linked it's source rather than that one
But the article it was based on showed that we can remove carbon gas from the atmosphere at 100$ a tonne
So there's not any "tipping point"
There's not any "climate crisis"
It's just annoying to see alarmism, like the article says
I am all for preserving the Earth's natural beauty. That's what they should be focusing on. Not hecking causing a panic with lies
the article is just shitting on democrats
and how capitalism and progress is good
Yes it is but it's deserved for what they are doing
