@Tenta Transhumanism is a meme marketed by corporatism. I would be wearying of identifying with it too much.

2017-05-10 01:53:50 UTC

Germany, of course, already passed a law that places severe restriction on the so-called "bio hacking".

2017-05-10 01:54:15 UTC

@Firefly Based article. Thanks.

2017-05-10 01:55:05 UTC

@Tenta @Deleted User I think part of trans-humanism is a deeply idealist movement controlled by SJW. Another part is Orthodox Marxist.

2017-05-10 01:55:11 UTC

The USSR also researched transhumanism a lot. It doesn’t have to be corporatist.

2017-05-10 01:55:54 UTC

@Firefly , I don’t see any SJW shit in the transhumanist groups I’m in.

2017-05-10 01:56:19 UTC

The worst SJW are even against hearing aids because that’s "imposing ableist views".

2017-05-10 01:57:17 UTC

@Tenta I've seen many about 10 years ago. Most of them been started by objective idealists. I've been looking for a non-idealist one but could not find.

2017-05-10 01:57:42 UTC

I’m really cynical when it comes to politics.

2017-05-10 01:58:09 UTC

@Firefly I read that Stalin rejected too much automation in the factories because it was perceived that it would make workers weak and complacent. I admire this focus on uplifting the human condition and not simply making life easier for progress sake.

2017-05-10 01:58:24 UTC

Why do you think in terms of groups/thought systems being an objective instead of something real, practical and immediate?

2017-05-10 01:58:42 UTC

If that makes sense

2017-05-10 01:59:24 UTC

@Deleted User automation was one of the primary goals of Stalin's strategy.

2017-05-10 01:59:35 UTC

What is it exactly about (for example) the transhumanism that you like and how can you do something with that? Or is just talking and dreaming to pass the time the objective?

2017-05-10 02:00:21 UTC

@checkers You can develop AI. Many companies start working on it right now.

2017-05-10 02:00:36 UTC

@checkers or VR

2017-05-10 02:00:51 UTC

Are you working on something like that right now?

2017-05-10 02:01:10 UTC

Or do you want to talk about how to find practical uses for it?

2017-05-10 02:01:16 UTC

@checkers I'm looking into it.

2017-05-10 02:01:55 UTC

Let's assume you have the skills to make a decent ai and you have the time, what would you make?

2017-05-10 02:02:03 UTC

@Firefly And yet it did not remove the concept of struggle from life. Maintaining tension towards every higher goals is an important aspect of the collective motivation, is it not?

2017-05-10 02:02:18 UTC

@checkers you can work in the office of AI company without skills

2017-05-10 02:02:48 UTC

So you want to join a "transhumanist group" to find a low skill job in an AI company?

2017-05-10 02:03:04 UTC

@Deleted User Tension is one of the ways to control things. There are many various ways.

2017-05-10 02:03:31 UTC

@checkers I say you can do it if you don't have any skills.

2017-05-10 02:04:17 UTC

Ok. I like data and bots myself, I have a box sucking down millions of users from twitter and other social sites

2017-05-10 02:04:27 UTC

16 mill on twitter right now

2017-05-10 02:05:36 UTC

@Firefly My concern is that transhumanism is a promise of not having to struggle. It's allure is hedonistic and hence corrosive to improving the quality of humanity. Full automation fits thie category and is not insurrance and future collapse, infact represents a false sense of security if taken too far or too blindly.

2017-05-10 02:05:54 UTC

Also when people make changes to their variosu bio fields or move their phone, I record that. Have a few ideas on how to use it

2017-05-10 02:07:39 UTC

@Deleted User , there won’t be less work. The work will be shifted to other fields. Just like nowadays only few people in the Western world work on farms when it had been pretty much everyone a few centuries back.

2017-05-10 02:08:18 UTC

Thee will always be work, and the majority of humans wants to work, wants to feel useful to society.

2017-05-10 02:08:53 UTC

@Deleted User I'm more pro-objective than pro-subjective. Subjectivity of the humanity has to develop into objectivity. At some point humanity will no longer exist.

2017-05-10 02:10:40 UTC

I disagree. We'll grant at least one planet to the tribal races where they'll commune with jenkem until the heat death of the universe

2017-05-10 02:10:45 UTC

Those are good responses. Thanks. I guess I am projecting my own experience as a domesticated human not coerced into labour, I hence only engage in leisure which is not objectively goal orientated.

2017-05-10 02:12:26 UTC

>only engage in leisure
Is that why you're for socialism? Bit selfish isn't it

2017-05-10 02:12:38 UTC

rofl3x@transhumanism

2017-05-10 02:12:59 UTC

transhumansts come in two types, the liars, and the losers.

2017-05-10 02:13:13 UTC

the liars want you to believe that any of this shit is possible or rational and know that it is not

2017-05-10 02:13:25 UTC

the losers can't be bothered to do their due dilligence

2017-05-10 02:14:32 UTC

@checkers Honestly, part of the appeal is the idea of a dictatorship of the proletariat, a coercive collective function of discipline to give some measurable objective purpose in life
