i heard there was a solar powered revolution beginning to happena nd then the govt tax the shit out of residences going off grid to put a curb on it...is that right?
yep
that sucks
Impuesto al sol
Basically, "sun tax"
hm...s o i heard. pretty evil
Well, just look at our finances minister
if it was a communal house...could you say, grow...50 plant?
He's basically Mr Burns personified
wew
yeah, that sun tax is really obscene
That could be hardly justifiable
shame
still have some of those abandoned villages out in spain withviable potable water supplies, going cheap eh? people left as the electricity and telephone companies wouldnt hook em up?
those usually get occupied by people who want to live more humble lives, by themselves
communes, basically
set up a vineyard and cannabis production outlet...would pay for itself over a few years...
might be quite productive political nodes
A vineyard? that's not as easy as it sounds
better than average squatting culture
It's not the same
well, it'd take some years....but could transplant from existing vineyards
yes, and what are you going to do if they freeze?
you can't put your eggs in one basket with things like that
what those guys do is, for example
i met a lot of spanish commune living people...better than a lot of western euro comparatives but still seemingly a bit random
they fix roofs or houses that don't get access to electricity with traditional tools
dunno....maybe thinking laterally and keeping small individual plots and sinking the them into the ground rather than at surface and using a lot of polyprolene shells
that way you don't depend of random things like the weather
or how good the crops are going to be
Even then, if something goes wrong weather-wise, you're fucked
could always mitigate natural conditions artificially... dont see why not...
You can't keep them from freezing in this zone
if the temperature gets that low
So it's better not to rely on that kind of thing
almond trees, on the other hand
now that's more safe
The only problem is that, lately, everyone is planting them because the price is rising
So eventually the bubble is going to explode hard
I think the safest bet would be a combination of olive and almond trees and maybe some pistachios too
