I do not see what server reforms would do to harm the quality you love about this server. In fact, it would only enhance it, for many people in that server are simply asking questions, which takes no large amount of skill. Allowing more who are curious to actually stay would only help the quality.

The solution is to instate a link limit for each chat entree. Only one picture per chat entree.

Now, this will not prevent spam in entirety, but it will paralyze the effectiveness of it until the spammers are banned
