They complement each other.

2017-05-28 07:15:54 UTC

well the problem with the econ degree is that i will literally commit suicide if i ever work in finance or business

2017-05-28 07:16:04 UTC

they do totally complement each other

2017-05-28 07:16:10 UTC

2017-05-28 07:16:12 UTC

@not_matt >philosophy professor

2017-05-28 07:16:32 UTC

No, academia is not place for a critical mind.

2017-05-28 07:16:50 UTC

Academia needs a kick in the ass to get going again

2017-05-28 07:16:57 UTC

*blushes* zielgy thinks i have a critical mind

2017-05-28 07:16:58 UTC

Specifically the historical field

2017-05-28 07:17:23 UTC

even academia is run on the profit motive now smh

2017-05-28 07:17:29 UTC

>find new evidence for something
>throw it out because you wrote a thesis about it working the old way

2017-05-28 07:18:12 UTC

Let me guess, early to mid 20th century Europe needs a look over.

2017-05-28 07:18:21 UTC

No I'm talking antiques

2017-05-28 07:18:48 UTC

Minor but not minor shit like the dates for monuments, migrations, etc

2017-05-28 07:19:20 UTC

History's like a giant puzzle, and when some dumbass crams the wrong piece in the wrong gap it fucks everything up down the line

2017-05-28 07:19:30 UTC

Disproving the Out of Africa Theory is more anthropology.

2017-05-28 07:19:35 UTC

No not that

2017-05-28 07:19:41 UTC

Goodness mind the assumptions

2017-05-28 07:19:53 UTC

Well if you just go to the point I wouldn't need to.

2017-05-28 07:20:09 UTC

More like get to an example

2017-05-28 07:23:16 UTC

2017-05-28 07:23:19 UTC

2017-05-28 07:23:21 UTC

im so fuckin tired

2017-05-28 07:23:23 UTC

im going to bed

2017-05-28 07:23:23 UTC

gn

2017-05-28 07:23:29 UTC

I already got to the point, example:
the sphinx has water weathering which may mean it's older than we think it is
Significance: Could mean that Egyptian history goes further back than even 10000 BCE
This also displaces some anthropologic shit and if true could potentially BTFO the creationist tier idea that agricultural civilizations started around 10000 BCE.
A few extra thousand year gap wouldn't be that much of an issue but concessions like that tarnish the pride of fools

2017-05-28 07:38:00 UTC

Graham Hancock's theories are pretty speculative.
