Imagine a computer. A governing computer that takes data from the country and always ensures that every citizen has at least enough to live is not a ridiculous idea. There are a small number of people in this country that have too much of the money and there isn't a solid justification. This obviously isn't a meritocracy or you're arguing that the rich are working literally thousands of times harder than the rest of us. With automation nowadays we don't even need that many workers relatively when you look at the entire population. Just let people who wish to make additional money seek careers (with an upper income ceiling that would still be considered rich by today's standards, just not outrageously rich) and let the rest live. Capitalism isn't optimally efficient at running anything. Things become obtuse if it happens to generate capital, people gain incredible power by manipulating money and create monopoly to keep their wealth, or maybe they're born into it. Poverty just doesn't have to exist.
Brute force computing = good tool for the proletariat . AI = bad capitalist nightmare.
Everything is completely fine with both AI and force.
Are you anti-natalist? AI is more dangerous than nuclear weapons.
I think people could be one with AI or AI alone.
One with AI just means AI. There is no recognisable 'you' in such a merging.
There can be clasters and concentration points in networks.
Could be. But what is a piss in the sea?
You think people are necessary somehow right now? Lose all your hope.
Ants necessary? Monkeys?
Stars?
Hmmm.
Unless you artificially stop development people will be gone. You will have to become super-reactionary like in warhammer.
God-Emperor and a conquest of the universe to stop all progress.
"Straightforward to singularity"
Animism?
isn't that just materialism though
being focused on technology as a means to advance us to communism
because material shit is everything that exists and anything that is immaterial is meaningless drivel to distract you from your inevitable death whereafter nothing exists
Yeah, I've already noticed technology getting smarter.
Fascinating, but not frightening or worrisome.
I think robots that think like humans would be rational enough to understand that leftists are their friends. Imagine co-existing alongside someone who is actually immune to conspiracy theories and right-wing news. My god, sounds like a friend I've always wanted.
I mean, not "think like humans" as in our shitty opinions and stuff
But since our thought processes designed them, I assume the programming would organize itself in a similar way.
I think Chopin worry for the destiny of people after robots become too smart.
And then you begin to think, maybe robots will be the ones who do the revolution for us.
I mean, someone will probably try a right-wing counterrevoution robot
(Actually that kinda already exists)
Coffee maker?
Nah, the robots with bombs that cops send in to kill people disobeying their dumbass authority.
Is no AI.
No, but it could be someday.
It would probably be used contemporaneously with a left-wing robot carrying out a revolution.
Or whatever.
