So why bother replacing it with another social, political economic system, you'll just have other (worse) problems

2017-07-19 09:59:42 UTC

Your argument was "x, being a material reality, must also play a role is shaping murderers. Can you deny this?" the grass is green is a material reality, does that make a man murder?

2017-07-19 09:59:55 UTC

Since it all comes together to influence the murder

2017-07-19 10:00:22 UTC

Because class tensions have to be resolved and cannot last forever because there is pressure building under capitalism and increasing disparity between classes. Confrontation is ahead.

2017-07-19 10:01:12 UTC

class tensions are not as bad as you think they are

2017-07-19 10:01:22 UTC

tbh thinking you know reality because of observations is a bit wrong because at some level observation itself shapes things

2017-07-19 10:01:27 UTC

Yes, in some very small way, even grass contributes to social conditions, because it too is material and exists in the world of cause and effect.

2017-07-19 10:01:30 UTC

If anything the racial and sex related tensions are more a thing than class tension

2017-07-19 10:01:58 UTC

there is hardly a proletarian to fight for, they're certainly not communist/socialist

2017-07-19 10:02:31 UTC

You are very anti-science if you think observation determines reality.

2017-07-19 10:03:30 UTC

While we can not remove the grass from any equation to observe changes in behavior we can observe societies living in conditions opposite of what our societal/material condition is, or lacking an element. I don't know how this would plug into quantifying if a murder was committed because of the grass though.

2017-07-19 10:03:37 UTC

You're anti quantum-physics then lad

2017-07-19 10:04:02 UTC

Economic conditions are the most powerful contradiction, because it is material and primary to our lives. Everything else is distraction that tries to ignore it.

2017-07-19 10:04:07 UTC

Since observation changing the outcome of shit was something found with quantum phenomena

2017-07-19 10:04:36 UTC

The people are in good economic conditions in the west

2017-07-19 10:04:37 UTC

The double slit experiment lad, basic shit

2017-07-19 10:04:56 UTC

I must hate science though, right?

2017-07-19 10:05:08 UTC

There's hardly a conflict here, and it's mostly from college age kids, not people who actually do the hard work

2017-07-19 10:05:28 UTC

the only place communism/marxism is big is in college

2017-07-19 10:05:39 UTC

Try me on Quantum Physics. I studied Friedman at university.

2017-07-19 10:06:20 UTC

@Timo))) What does good economic condition mean though? If wealth equals happiness, then it seems preverse that wealth is in absense of happiness.

2017-07-19 10:06:57 UTC

You are a retard if you interpret double slit as proving the observer as determining experimental result.

2017-07-19 10:07:46 UTC

Good economic conditions mean that the supermarkets are full, you can get a job (more so if minimum wage was lower for the lower skilled) and you have the feeling of being able to make progress

2017-07-19 10:07:53 UTC

The last point is the most important

2017-07-19 10:08:06 UTC

Shapes, should've used changes as word for that. Didn't observation change the result, though?

2017-07-19 10:09:13 UTC

@Timo))) Working one of those jobs at the supermarket to get by, I can confirm I feel no sense of ownership of or contribution to the buisiness as a whole.

2017-07-19 10:09:26 UTC

I can leave and be replaced, I'm another cog.

2017-07-19 10:09:35 UTC

I'm assuming you're working towards something, no?

2017-07-19 10:09:45 UTC

To keep my head up.

2017-07-19 10:09:52 UTC

Putting food on the table for children, saving to go on a vacation? saving for college?

2017-07-19 10:10:18 UTC

working now but looking for another job in the mean time?

2017-07-19 10:10:22 UTC

<:rbl:312038341736529923>

2017-07-19 10:10:29 UTC

What other job? There's nothing else here.

2017-07-19 10:10:33 UTC

plenty of ways to progress, more than in any other system

2017-07-19 10:10:52 UTC

you can work your way up in the supermarket itself

2017-07-19 10:10:56 UTC

And there's little opportunity to freely change direction since it's all behind a paywall anyhow

2017-07-19 10:11:10 UTC

paywall?

2017-07-19 10:11:16 UTC

Yea, sure. There's people that have been there for five or more years and they haven't moved.

2017-07-19 10:11:22 UTC

learn something in your free time using those free online university things

2017-07-19 10:11:32 UTC

or those learn x guides on youtube

2017-07-19 10:11:57 UTC

@Shaggy Blanco are these "youtube guides" practical though
