His wife will find out and belittle him about it

2017-08-01 05:11:30 UTC

Because Santa was made intentionally as an urban legend, God was created in order to convince people he is in actuality real.

2017-08-01 05:11:57 UTC

Santa isn't supposed to be believable, God is somewhat

2017-08-01 05:12:15 UTC

Brothers, there is no need for such empty games and drama. The pure and full life is within reach. Anarcho-Agrarianism will win.

@Suda it's true bro

2017-08-01 05:12:54 UTC

the concepts of God and religion was made specifically to convince people they exist

2017-08-01 05:13:00 UTC

Santa didn't leave a fucking bible did he

2017-08-01 05:13:08 UTC

Is that actually where the origin of the santa tradition comes from? I know it was said nick but was it actually developed for that purpose?

2017-08-01 05:13:24 UTC

I know satanism was developed as a catholic fearmonger

2017-08-01 05:13:29 UTC

Yeah, good tidings and all that shit, in order to make kids feel good

2017-08-01 05:13:51 UTC

Whereas people work their asses off to convince people God, whichever one, is real

2017-08-01 05:14:02 UTC

I don't know how to answer the second question

2017-08-01 05:14:15 UTC

Just shows how fucking ludicrous the whole thing is..

2017-08-01 05:14:25 UTC

Noble Lie my dude

2017-08-01 05:14:33 UTC

if you wanna believe that

2017-08-01 05:14:35 UTC

@John Grandfather Frost is the only true God.

2017-08-01 05:14:57 UTC

3 and 4 are literally not even questions

2017-08-01 05:15:11 UTC

Wot?

2017-08-01 05:15:18 UTC

see how they're numbered

2017-08-01 05:15:27 UTC

3 and 4 are just statements on what he intends to do

2017-08-01 05:15:36 UTC

2nd one I still don't know how to answer

2017-08-01 05:15:45 UTC

O eye sea

2017-08-01 05:16:02 UTC

This guy is a bit of a dummie.

2017-08-01 05:16:10 UTC

He should just let the kid grow up secularly

2017-08-01 05:16:29 UTC

If forced to choose between a god and uncertainty a child would always choose god.

2017-08-01 05:16:36 UTC

Because they can't understand atheism.

2017-08-01 05:18:28 UTC

I think the whole ulterior motive of religion is actually just general altruism. People feel good and they want to share the experience, like dumbass cute cat photos people send literally everywhere. Makes them laugh and seeing your friends laugh usually makes you laugh more. There's also a darker side too in trying to convince people of a religion forcibly, like Muslims. Governments use shit like "divine placement" to justify their position as a ruler in some Arabic countries, same could go for Catholics, a shifting of power from an individual to a whole organization that allows them to influence people's decisions

2017-08-01 05:19:03 UTC

only real answer I could come up with off the top of my head

2017-08-01 05:19:21 UTC

which is why I somewhat support congregationalism

2017-08-01 05:24:30 UTC

Religions purpose was to eliminate uncertainty. Before we developed concepts like existentialism and nihilism it's all they had. Living is scary and religion was there to tell people everything will be alright. Religious doctrine pretends to have answers it does not have.

2017-08-01 05:26:01 UTC

Without agrarianism, religion is misunderstood.

2017-08-01 05:26:36 UTC

Redistributing land?

2017-08-01 05:26:41 UTC

How the fuck are those two things relevant?

2017-08-01 05:26:44 UTC

What the hell does that have to do with it?

2017-08-01 05:29:13 UTC

@Suda Well, there's also people in the past who did magic tricks/miracles and that can convince people. On the note of underdeveloped philosophical thought, plenty of ancients like the Greeks had basic concepts that rejected the idea of any Gods or supreme beings

2017-08-01 05:29:32 UTC

@John Touché

2017-08-01 05:29:33 UTC

Like Jesus

2017-08-01 05:29:52 UTC

People literally used to have to ask priests what the time was.

2017-08-01 05:30:00 UTC

That level of (potential) manipulation is insane
