It confused me
Libya was not a socialist country.
It was
Qaddafi was a socialist
@Kurt Sturm Lybia was partly a socialist country.
Literally on its name
The name means nothing
Great socialists peoples Libyan Arab jamaihirya
I wouldn't call that socialist then, also names don't necessarily insinuate what something stands for. Example is the National Socialist German Workers Party or Nazis, they were not socialists.
If there was private industry present, that's hardly socialist.
Just "friendly capitalism"
@Kurt Sturm On the Libian industrial level and African location it hardly could be any socialist but it did advance in that direction greatly.
I agree and even if they were moving in that direction it still wasn't socialism or probably would ever be.
I think they cooperated with these brands
Its allowed says wiki
Friendly capitalism
@Kurt Sturm Socialism is moving in the communist direction and Qaddafi did centralize economy and industrialized it.
What a hell is socialism if not that?
>socialism is when the government does stuff, and the more stuff it does the more socialist it is t. firefly :^) :^)
You can have any foreign brand or company as long as it is cooperating with others from your country?
Cooperating with capitalism contradicts socialism
@su It depends. There is a time when it is ok and there is a time when it is not.
Social democrats :V
Yes
What I did
Thank you guys @Kurt Sturm @Firefly
Np
Hope I helped somewhat lel
Yes, you really did
Tranny fascist O.o
@su Good source is a small little fantastic and genious book of Engels - Socialism: Utopian and scientific.
I'm wondering how something like the gaming industry would work in socialism
Wait
How can a state produce games
Are private schools allowed in a socialist country?
