To my understanding in sparcer regions its a bit questionable if that census data is good or not for the USSR. The data from Ukraine from what Oleh has said sounds like it has some of the better census takers for that year.

2017-11-07 03:17:36 UTC

Do you know that Soviet government of the time struggled because they had no valid data from the region?

2017-11-07 03:18:24 UTC

Depends? Do you mean they stuggled to address the famine?

2017-11-07 03:19:23 UTC

If so no, they had addressed it in early 1932 and later made a law stating no additional aid could be sent unless approved of by the politburo.

2017-11-07 03:20:11 UTC

They straggled to address anything. There were lack of data. Most of Ukrainian villages and small towns been so remote...nobody knew what the local Soviet government in Kiev were doing at the time.

2017-11-07 03:21:41 UTC

Somehow books being published by Soros foundation with gorrilion "data".

2017-11-07 03:23:32 UTC

What in the hell are you talking about?

2017-11-07 03:24:19 UTC

The death statistics of the famine even in European part of Russia are unverifiable.

2017-11-07 03:24:31 UTC

Because there were no statistics taken.

2017-11-07 03:24:53 UTC

You cannot really count famine deaths mind though this is only an estimate.

2017-11-07 03:25:05 UTC

And the one taken was done by people without any education who just learned to read.

2017-11-07 03:25:50 UTC

If we count Ukraine now and 6 years ago there is 10 million death "estimate" with the same logic. But people just relocated.

2017-11-07 03:26:14 UTC

Except no its not.

2017-11-07 03:26:27 UTC

The figure accounts for migration and excess births.

2017-11-07 03:26:44 UTC

@D-H how?

2017-11-07 03:29:25 UTC

The same way Jacques Vallin estimates his figure using the 1939 census.

2017-11-07 03:30:34 UTC

@D-H How did they account migration?

2017-11-07 03:31:27 UTC

By the same logic second holodomor just happened.

2017-11-07 03:31:42 UTC

They estimate it like any other demographic study based on the available data.

2017-11-07 03:31:53 UTC

@D-H Like which data?

2017-11-07 03:32:08 UTC

Do you want the study?

2017-11-07 03:32:20 UTC

That's all he wants.

2017-11-07 03:32:33 UTC

Cause honestly 90% of all your questions could be answered by just reading it.

2017-11-07 03:32:38 UTC

I want to know how migration is counted.

2017-11-07 03:32:52 UTC

I assume you've read it.

2017-11-07 03:33:24 UTC

@Firefly#9983 What do you think about gay people

2017-11-07 03:33:26 UTC

I have, but I didn't sign up to play 21 questions ether.

2017-11-07 03:33:35 UTC

I did

2017-11-07 03:34:33 UTC

@D-H It is not the study that types in this chat but you. If you make the statement **you** answer for it.

2017-11-07 03:35:16 UTC

I made a statement, I gave the answer, if you would like to know I can quote the piece that estimates migration then.

2017-11-07 03:35:26 UTC

Can you prove it was not immigration but death?

2017-11-07 03:36:05 UTC

It's an estimate made off from the available data that we have.

2017-11-07 03:36:30 UTC

@D-H does it prove anything?

2017-11-07 03:37:08 UTC

You should be asking that about the death toll in the first place. A high death toll doesn't mean anything.

2017-11-07 03:37:28 UTC

Genocide can be genocide even if only 1 million people died.

2017-11-07 03:37:54 UTC

@D-H I'm asking if there is a prove it is death and not simply relocation.

2017-11-07 03:38:17 UTC

Just right now on our eyes we had 10 mil Ukrainians relocating.

2017-11-07 03:38:35 UTC

It surveys the whole of the USSR.

2017-11-07 03:38:42 UTC
