As we all know, Marx's most famous quote was "only then can the narrow horizon of bourgeois right be crossed in its entirety and society inscribe on its banners: give me free stuff!"
I guess people who identify with the OG illiberal conservatism would like to call themselves reactionary or something else to not associate with the US style conservatives (conservative-liberals). But that's just my theory on it.
Idk why else someone would want to call itself that.
