u win
As far as charging you to print, an actual publishing house will either forego the cost, or charge the first run out of your profits.
I never thought about writing an Tabletop RPG, but uhm...with Warcraft making their own, between that and those other 30 ones, It's gonna get heavily competitive, so Imma pass.
I'll have to find something else to write.
But as for my game, to self-publish, it would have run me around $15,000 per thousand copies, paperback format, black and white.
...Then I would have had to find people to sell them, or schlep them myself.
doesn't look like Amazon charges you, but I only receive about on average 60% of the actual profits, if even that. But because they have Ebooks, there's no printing, so I can publish it for free, and at least get a start up on it.
Think I'll start it up there, and once I get a good jumpstart, sell the new stuff elsewhere, as well as hard copies
sounds like some serious work
Yep. In the end, I just decided to give it away. I'd rather people enjoy it, than it never see the light of day until I'm dead.
*if I can get the motivation that is, I've been focused on my fanfic lately* <:KEK:795742276549607456>
Yeah I getcha
Maybe some big time publishing company will see it, and they'll invest in it, you never know
50 Shades of Grey started as a Twilight fanfic...
Yes I know
but that would require me to completely recreate and re-establish the story itself
Over time 50 Shades of Grey became a new story
having not much to do with the original franchise
I don't want to ruin what's already been established in my Fanfiction
If it's not in a distinct universe, file off the serial numbers and go for it. LOL
I think DBZ is pretty distinct
wait what
how
I can't see the resemblance
they changed a few names here and there
as well as some established stuff
over time it evovled
became its own
Dropped the vampire part..
^
yup
the guy in 50 shades was supposed to be Edward cullen wasn't he
I've never even watched Twilight
or
50 shades
not even seen glimpses of it
I just *know* these things <:KEK:795742276549607456>
twilight the movie stayed pretty true to the book, for which I give them credit
I know about it from writer's circles, because there was a *lot* of discussion about it back when.
more true than some of the other movie iterations of books
Starship Troopers, ugh, yeah...
Though I think the author intended for Bella to have more than one facial expression
