But
actually I can't really say but
it's nearly impossible to find somebody
who knows how to write real literature and has written fanfic
That's why i try to elevate everything, including my ideas.
Yeah... and they're usually based off young adult movies or novels, which brings extra cringe
you know like how Gordon Ramsay elevates his food?
Right
Which requires to keep your standards high
And shouting
Lots of shouting
don't judge me for these terrible/strange ideas
1. Lunima was a story idea I had about a cat from space that I first had when I was ten
2. Terra Draconum was this dragon story that resulted from a dream I had when I was twelve
3. The Hurricane and the Tsunami was about sea dragons
4. The Robots was about... well... robots... and this girl who found this city full of... you guessed it... robots
5. The Virus was about this virus that turned people into animals (it was weird)
6. I wanted to be a mermaid was this depressing story about this girl who wanted to be a mermaid and instead got turned into a sea dragon and then had to escape this evil witch mermaid
7. The Half-Demon was this depressing story about this guy who found out he was a half demon and his adjustment. That one might have been weirder than the virus one
8. Don't step on the flowers was a story about this girl cursed to turn into a different animal every hour (what was with my obsession with people turning into animals?? I don't know!)
9. A different kind of werewolf... I'm too embarrassed to even talk about this one
So I'm always trying to do that but tbf, I'm still a beginner, so it's probably not even all that great...It's good practice tho
I got locked out of my old account, so I don't even have access to my garbage <:KEK:795742276549607456>
Not gonna lie, Lunima is such a good name, damn
Bow do u come up with a name like that AT TEN
Damn I wish I had the ability to name stuff good
I'm horrible in general when it comes to Naming
the name I came up with at ten was worse
Lunima was what I came up with at fifteen
One of the things I've noticed Fanfic lacks
Is REAL build-up
Me on my way to https://www.name-generator.org.uk/character/
They just want to get to everything without any prior build-up
that's me lol
Exactly, fanfic is lazy
I usually get fixated on a letter and try to find a name that starts with that letter
Which is why I try to strive the opposite of doing.
I didn't sit there and go "oH SoRy gUYs i RusHEd IT "
or "Oh SoRy gUYS MY dEadLINe"
I delayed delayed delayed, and learned as I progressed through writing.
The only timse I've ever even remotely considered writing fanfic is when I watch a damn good anime but it's over or I watch a show like the Walking Dead, that used to be soo sooo good but brutally mutilated by pot-smoking crack head "writers"
I actually *had* a mentor who's done real literature giving me tips here and there, but uh he hasn't said anything since October
Now that I think about it, I realized that I have actually written a few fanfics. But I never considered them *my* stories because they were usually crossovers or written because I saw an issue with whatever story it was from and wanted to write about it
*also some people just want to interpret a character different which is stupid af*
*and ruin pre-established stuff from the original story*
The one I'm most proud of was a Back to the Future/Doctor Who fanfic where Marty McFly meets a Weeping Angel and also temporarily ceases to exist
*then use the excuse "ItS fANfIC AnYtHInG Can HaPpEn*
everything else was pretty bad
wut
that's...
