around 1,200 player owned Titans ( EVE's version of the UNSC Infinity) were deployed and 250 were destroyed

2021-02-03 07:48:40 UTC

for context, a single ship costs around 3-5,000 to build in USD

2021-02-03 07:49:19 UTC

total costs in damages was around 340,000 USD

2021-02-03 07:49:54 UTC

And that was right before New Year's Eve

2021-02-03 07:52:02 UTC

around 130 PAPI Titans were stranded in the battlefield at that time when the servers shut down for maintenance and when PAPI came back for them, they were instead ambushed by over 4,000 of the Goonswarm, decade long veterans of the game that served the Imperium as their Elite guards

2021-02-03 07:53:12 UTC

after that, PAPI withdrew all forces from the system in what ended as a massive rout

2021-02-03 07:53:49 UTC

which then resulted in multiple crashes and bugs

2021-02-03 07:56:39 UTC

in the end Pyrrhic Victory was declared for the Imperium, and thus the end of the battle of M2-XFE

That in a movie, with heaps of nasty space gore

Are Mohawks allowed in the military if they’re super short? Like three weeks after a buzz short?

2021-02-03 17:11:54 UTC

say, can a non-citizen get shooting/security class on black-water? and how much per class if there are any?

2021-02-03 17:28:58 UTC

Not allowed in the US Armed Forces

2021-02-03 18:16:26 UTC

Got it.

2021-02-03 19:13:56 UTC

Photo shopped the gun?

2021-02-03 20:23:07 UTC

Mohawks are only allowed if you are special forces paratrooper on D day

2021-02-03 20:23:44 UTC

If you want to hook up with a real contractor outfit let me know and I’ll give you their name

2021-02-03 20:24:00 UTC

Blackwater is old news

2021-02-03 23:26:04 UTC

@SPRTNWRRYR1974 Army regs prohibit extreme or faddish hairstyles, including extreme fades, unnatural coloring, shaved in designs, mohawks etc..... unless, as was said, you are in SF or SFOD-D (Delta).

2021-02-03 23:28:22 UTC

Ok.

2021-02-04 01:23:31 UTC

I seriously thought the headline was about the usa for a quick second. Then I realized it was just a country undergoing a coup. 🤷‍♂️

2021-02-04 09:34:37 UTC

Kinda looks like Nancy Pelosi...

My advice as a Ressrvist: stay away from the Reserves. Everyone I know (myself included) hated their time in the Reserves.

2021-02-04 12:44:26 UTC

Myanmar is a f..ing legend they banned Facebook

2021-02-04 15:29:57 UTC

why what happened?

2021-02-04 16:21:47 UTC

@ThiccSpicyGenderRevealParty It's as if the Reserves received all the stupid parts of the regular Army (hurry up and wait, poor leadership, people not wanting to do their jobs, etc.) But kept none of the good parts.

My Dad's experience was that he was in for a year before they realized that they didn't have any of the correct paperwork (mind you, he was an officer, had been to OCS, the whole 9 yards). Since they didn't need his job anymore, they just told him to stop coming.

I had a SGT while on active-duty who'd been a Reservist medic. She stopped going to her drills because they never trained and only watched movies. She was going to be charged as AWOL until she brought that up with IG. She got switched over to the Guard.

Finally, there's me, in a medical unit that has us all sit around for SHARP, EO, and the occasional medical information briefing. I've been there two years and have never been issued any of my gear, I always have to turn in the same paperwork every month 'cause no one files any of it, apparently, and all of my transfer requests get "lost".

If you want to be a weekend warrior, go Guard. It's still hit or miss, but the hit ratio is a lot higher.

2021-02-04 16:24:16 UTC

ouch

2021-02-04 18:40:01 UTC

Nah active is where it's at. Might as well send it and go all the way instead of the weekend crap. Sure it's crappy half the time but the other half is pretty good for the most part

2021-02-04 19:06:02 UTC

There's a trade off. The question is, do you want to hate your life half the time, but make really good friends and have great stories and benefits? Or do you want to only have a weekend a month (and a two week annual drill) where you hate life, but not have as great comradery or benefits?

If you find the right place on AD, I highly recommend it. It is a great experience, but remember to be careful and think about what you're doing. It's a 4 year contract minimum, so you better enjoy the job you choose.

2021-02-04 19:06:39 UTC

that why i wanted to go and join the Artillery for Active Duty

2021-02-04 19:06:55 UTC

Big Gun go boom

2021-02-04 19:07:10 UTC
