Angels weren't created on God's image either
Good afternoon. God bless you all, God bless America, (and God bless pinnapple pizza š¤£)
God Bless!
God only created us to replace the fallen angels in the first place. (Look up verse: a third of the stars fell from heaven) if there are animals in heaven, it would be only for the purpose of glorifying God. But in no way do they have souls. Iām sure St Thomas Aquinas has answered this question, but someone would have to sift through the Summa Theologica lol
@Jenjen I don't think that it's biblical what you are saying about humans replacing the fallen angels, humans are distinct from angels.
> It is something that has stuck with me since childhood.
@Kit_DewStein That doesn't mean that it's true.
Doesn't mean it isn't either
It doesn't hurt the faith to think animals go to heaven when they die
Why would animals be in heaven?
You're going to have to point out biblically something to backup your claim.
Yes humans and angels are distinct. These ideas are from the visions of St Hildegard Von Bingen, a Christian mystic from midevil times. I donāt think you would find it in the Bible one way or the other. But generally the church fathers agree that the angels fell from grace (or remained in grace) before the creation of the world.
Jesus rides a white horse in revelation
Or a horse
It also seemed logical that the rebellious Angels being ejected would leave some functions undone, and if my concepts gained from Revelation are true that would probably be in the area of worship.
Of course God could simply create more Angels, but in creating man he could have man make the choice of whether to worship him or Satan before placing them in Heaven as is the procedure for entering the Ultimate Heaven.
There will also be a new earth, both of you seem to forget that, you both seem to have an escapist view of the end times.
@Jenjen I don't care what some medieval mystic with unverified 'visions' had to say. What does the Bible say?
> Jesus rides a white horse in revelation
@Kit_DewStein You Revelation probably isn't referring to a lieterral horse.
I don't want to have this discussion. It doesn't hurt anyone if I think animals will be in heaven.
It seems like your faith is hinging on it by how much you are defending it. The white horse represents war, that where the first coming was in peace the second coming Christ is coming for war.
But I don't know you.
i've thought that as well but then i wonder how God looked at all he created and said it was good if there had already been sin from the angels?
Mmm thatās also a good point, but Iāll have to look it up later. Could be that creation and the fall of the angels happened around the same time, or perhaps he looked at what was under the firmament (material cosmos) and thought it was good...
i've though the same things, still dont know where i stand but its fun to think about š
Whose talking about endtimes? At least I have the humility to accept that others may have a better interpretation of the Bible than myself.
Trust me, we are nowhere near the end times. Even in revelation the ammount of natural disasters that are to increase is so more than the few hurricanes going around. Im talking an earthquake every few months, tidal waves, flooding and of course solar flares.
People are still open to the idea of Christianity and the end times start once the last soul that will freely believe is saved.
and china still has a blooming field there
Well, we are in the "end times." We just aren't anywhere near Revelation yet
The roman church said they were in the "End times" when the empire was falling
Its like having Infinity war and endgame. Either its a war that goes on forever or its the end of war but it cant be both. Likewise every generation of christians: WWI, WWII, 60s, 80s, 90s and even 2012.
EVERY generation cants be in the "end game"
it just feels that way
The bible even says "No man will know the day of its coming, it will come like a theif in the night."
i guess the princaple applied is always assume we're in the end times then when we finaly are we can be right, even if we were wrong every time before XD
That's about the Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ. But the End Times does not mean Revelation. The End Times just means that Revelation is coming.
*rolls eyes* Then I guess it was the end times after jesus left.
If you day "Tomorrow I will die" every day you will be sure to be right once, but that only makes you wrong that much more every time.
I agree. Itās pretty narcissistic of the church in America to think the whole world is in the end times just because thereās a whiff of persecution. what does that mean for the church in China or Africa which is thriving?
Well I think its more of the global plague and global economy crashes than it is the rise of the technocracy.
That being said, supposedly we are in the last of the ā communication agesā meaning the media used for spreading the Gospel.
