Oh yeah

2021-02-13 21:26:13 UTC

The Law of Moses

2021-02-13 21:26:22 UTC

I beleive it was Paul who said "If your going to follow the 'old law' Follow the old law. If your going to follow the new law follow it instead." He then makes a remark about circumsission and wishes that they just kept going, implying chop it off if they are going to be 'that way'

2021-02-13 21:26:26 UTC

is no longer binding

2021-02-13 21:29:39 UTC

Yeah, Paul basicly told some traditional jewish christians telling other christians they were 'doing things wrong by not following the original rules' to chop off their dicks.

2021-02-13 21:33:21 UTC

2021-02-13 21:35:31 UTC

2021-02-13 21:36:47 UTC

Circumsision is no longer required but the sabath saturday IS? Seems contradictory.

2021-02-13 21:47:36 UTC

No judgement 😂

2021-02-13 21:48:15 UTC

Good for you 👍

2021-02-13 22:46:22 UTC

This is once again one of those events of Jesus said keep your religeion in your own lane, and if people want to merge in, then you help them. But this isnt even what Jesus taught

2021-02-14 03:45:24 UTC

circumsision today is mainly for medical purposes

2021-02-14 03:55:39 UTC

I think the jews and muuzlims still do circumcision.

2021-02-14 05:21:28 UTC

Course for many it’s Valentine’s Day today It’s not all about a special person but also a day you should challenge yourself to share God’s infinite love to others especially those who don’t know him. Because people can and will fail but we know of One being that will NEVER fail that’s our Lord Change someone’s life today And don’t stop in 24 hours but go 365 days I challenge you to share it with at least one person everyday That’s 365 people Have a good day everyone!

2021-02-14 11:28:42 UTC

I mean, if you look at this history of Valentine, its named after a pastor in the church who insisted on getting people married in the roman empire, and the emperor did not like that he was changing the loyalty of his army men from that of patriotism to that of loyalty to families. So he set out to hunt him down. And Just like Paul, he did some good work but was executed, because Romans really loved christians. And now the memory of his sacrifice has become a corporate holiday to make you buy cards, flowers, balloons, steak dinners and jewelry. Just like christmas and Nickolas who was a real christian who did good deeds too.

2021-02-14 16:51:27 UTC

Did you see today’s gospel?

2021-02-14 16:53:31 UTC

“A leper came to Jesus and kneeling down begged him and said,
‘If you wish, you can make me clean.’
Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand,
touched him, and said to him,
‘I do will it. Be made clean.’
The leprosy left him immediately, and he was made clean.
Then, warning him sternly, he dismissed him at once.

He said to him, ‘See that you tell no one anything,
but go, show yourself to the priest
and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed;
that will be proof for them.’

The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter.
He spread the report abroad
so that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly.
He remained outside in deserted places,
and people kept coming to him from everywhere.”

2021-02-14 16:57:17 UTC

This has nothing to do with St. Valentine’s Day fyi

2021-02-14 16:59:03 UTC

The irony is valentine's day originated under the reign of emperor claudius II aka claudius the "cruel".

2021-02-14 17:04:58 UTC

God does work in mysterious ways. 🤔

2021-02-14 17:05:53 UTC

Honest question, why don’t you say Saint Valentine’s Day?

2021-02-14 17:08:31 UTC

Cause we are not Catholic Cultists

2021-02-14 17:11:40 UTC

Sainthood was invented by the catholics and they pray to saints, not god many times. Why would you pray to a dead man rather than god unless its a cult?

2021-02-14 22:04:19 UTC

I don't think I'd go that far, if them caths are a cult, what does it make the whole protestant movement that splintered from them about five hundred years ago. It's like punching ourselves on the face calling them a cult.
Hint: those were caths that got thrown to the lions back then to bring us the bible to whack eachother with verses about today (we didn't exists back then, we got the bible from them).

2021-02-14 22:19:14 UTC

Tryin to keep it PG-13... for our younger audiences. 🍻

2021-02-14 22:19:52 UTC
2021-02-14 22:28:22 UTC

@Supertonesfan91 that's a great article...i even clicked on the poetry at the end... didn't understand a word, it was probably old english. 😆

2021-02-14 22:28:34 UTC

Technically all who are in Christ are the saints, but I agree with you that how the Roman Catholics treat the saints is a form of idolatry. I personally don't think valentine would agree with Catholics praying to saints in heaven.

2021-02-14 22:32:34 UTC

So did the people in the church paul and the other apostles corrected when they splintered into different views and beliefs. Should those who thought that we stick to jewish law be the correct view? It does not matter what they were then, what matters is what they are now. And what they are now is a cult. ALthough even back then, they had some pretty exstortive beleifs, paying to have sins forgiven.

2021-02-14 22:38:55 UTC

I don't know mercy... it'll still makes us a splinter from a splinter from a splinter, making us an offshoot of a cult.
Maybe this article might help... The evangelical that wrote it articulates pretty well why they aren't. And if u scroll to their about page, they're pretty much geared towards refuting cults.

2021-02-14 22:44:10 UTC

@Mercy ☝️

2021-02-14 23:31:58 UTC

I dont really care what someone else says. If a Vegan tells me that its okay to use butter, crab and milk because its an exception to veganism, its still a contradictory to its nature and despire what any scientist vegan will say, it will not change those facts.

2021-02-14 23:57:15 UTC

I have Mercy blocked for a reason. I think his entire existence revolves around pissing people off and starting arguments.

2021-02-15 01:02:04 UTC

Why? Because you don't like his opinions and the facts?

2021-02-15 01:07:17 UTC

For the people of ancient Rome, the festival of Lupercalia was an annual ritual believed to ward off evil spirits and increase fertility. Lupercalia (also known as Februatio, from which comes the month name February) was popular among many of the new converts to the fast-rising Catholic Church.

2021-02-15 01:08:32 UTC

people were looking to obtain fertility by being beaten with strips of animal skin called februa

2021-02-15 01:11:01 UTC

It was originated from paganism
