Yeah there are some really unique mods out there.

2019-01-18 03:52:50 UTC

Less attracted to American muscle personally. Big fan of Japanese and euro vehicles.

2019-01-18 03:52:56 UTC

what's your idea?

2019-01-18 03:53:55 UTC

Follow this guy from the above links.

Have a particular and repeatable custom vehicle you specialize in recreating

2019-01-18 03:54:43 UTC

Yeah, I think it's more about tapping into a subculture or finding a niche honestly, with regards to what you're pointing out.

2019-01-18 03:54:47 UTC

For instance, restoring pre emissions testing model cars into modern reliable trucks.

2019-01-18 03:54:58 UTC

so 1996 and before

2019-01-18 03:55:01 UTC

Indeed

2019-01-18 03:55:46 UTC

Personally I think it would be really cool to source, restore, import and sell 25yo kei cars from Japan.

2019-01-18 03:58:25 UTC

Also, importing holdens from AUS would be neat. there is afaik only once company who does in the US - in CO afaik

2019-01-18 03:58:30 UTC

For instance, the hot rod forums are full of guys trying to get a particular engine into a particular car, with a particular transmission.

This is super inefficient to custom fab your own stuff with all of this trial and error.

But, If you had a shop, you could develop an 8 step process for creating a particularly desirable(and perhaps complex) recreation.

Big bucks to be made

2019-01-18 03:59:43 UTC

I don't doubt it. Something that I can't undertake now - but I agree.

2019-01-18 03:59:47 UTC

@Papa Pizzagate Jap cars, ewww,

8 cylinders and above are 'Murican 😉

2019-01-18 03:59:49 UTC

Specialization is king.

2019-01-18 03:59:57 UTC

speaking of

2019-01-18 04:00:01 UTC

I just inherited an El Camino

2019-01-18 04:00:28 UTC

Yeah same idea

2019-01-18 04:00:32 UTC

People geek out for these things

2019-01-18 04:00:37 UTC

Holden (ford) Ute

2019-01-18 04:00:46 UTC

only available in AUS and NZ

2019-01-18 04:00:59 UTC

Ive seen them in South African too

2019-01-18 04:01:10 UTC

okay, okay

2019-01-18 04:01:18 UTC

*wherever holdens are sold*

2019-01-18 04:02:38 UTC

They are desirable in SA. Those turbocharged 4 cylinders are torquey, and good for hauling, while also getting good gas mileage

2019-01-18 04:03:18 UTC

Not surprised you like 'murcian muscle, Tyler.

2019-01-18 04:03:29 UTC

💪

2019-01-18 04:03:30 UTC

I mean, I get it. Just not for me.

2019-01-18 04:04:20 UTC

Granted if I had the means for a 6 car garage, I'd certainly have a proper excessive american truck in the lineup.

2019-01-18 04:05:47 UTC

I'll get you a start on your Holden Ute business.....

Wanna buy my El Camino?

Front right caliper was somewhat seized on my daily driver. Wore the pad down to the point of (very nearly) metal on metal to the rotor.

As soon as I noticed the sound of brake grinding, I drove as little as possible, babying the brakes as much as I could until I made it up to my my dad's shop to fix. Even so it was close call. Replacement ceramic brakes are $30 - replacement rotors and brakes are well over 150, often much more. (just parts, labor not included) If you hear brake grinding, address it as soon as possible.

Anyone experienced with working on F-250s? I have a question regarding brake fluid exchange / brake bleed...

2019-01-23 05:33:07 UTC

What's your question?
