Doctor, dentist, medical supplies and equipment (those will be extremely expensive if we get some standard things for a hospital), pharmaceutical manufacturer

2017-10-25 20:54:39 UTC

Water treatment plant(it can be small, but we don't want any waterborne illnesses)

2017-10-25 20:55:06 UTC

Should also add a sewage treatment plant

2017-10-25 20:55:57 UTC

guys, while this sort of thing is fun, i hope none of you are under the impression that the goal here is to disconnect from society and recreate an m. night shalyayayayaman movie

2017-10-25 20:56:03 UTC

^

2017-10-25 20:56:09 UTC

Not at all.

2017-10-25 20:56:11 UTC

However

2017-10-25 20:56:19 UTC

Also doctors and dentists dont just grow on trees

2017-10-25 20:56:22 UTC

i want high speed internet and running water

2017-10-25 20:56:28 UTC

and heated floors

2017-10-25 20:56:47 UTC

We need to discuss the possibility of a soft collapse of services

2017-10-25 20:56:48 UTC

And what exactly /is/ the end game here?

2017-10-25 20:57:22 UTC

Not saying that we need to completely disconnect. Just want to cover our bases

2017-10-25 20:57:23 UTC

find a white town geographically near a city that will support jobs, move there, extablish a community

2017-10-25 20:58:01 UTC

in brief, at least

2017-10-25 20:58:36 UTC

Self sufficiency is something that will be necesarry in the long run. Call me a conspiracy theorist, or a larper or whatever you'd like. But, society and the United States are not sustainable as they are now. Both of those things will either face gigantic change or death within the next 100 years.

2017-10-25 20:59:12 UTC

ok, sure, i can support the idea that the US may drastically change in the next century

2017-10-25 20:59:34 UTC

id like to get home base sorted out before i start building the walls for our free city, if you catch my drift

2017-10-25 20:59:52 UTC

Yeah, I can get with that.

2017-10-25 21:00:56 UTC

the longer version of the above is to seek out a township, ideally of less than 5k that is 95%+ white according to the census, with the initial group buying land there to establish a foothold there

2017-10-25 21:01:40 UTC

if we can buy land within that town's city limits and develop it ourselves, we can have a gated community that we decide the make-up of

2017-10-25 21:02:15 UTC

that is also much more enticing to those on the fence about moving instead of 'eh, just uproot your life and live out of a shipping container'

2017-10-25 21:03:01 UTC

I haven't been active, so I'm sure if this has been touched on yet. But the infiltration of a small towns city council level of politics would be a decent start.

2017-10-25 21:03:19 UTC

thats why we want to focus on a small township

2017-10-25 21:03:48 UTC

200 new voters in an area that small can swing local elections if they are quiet about it

2017-10-25 21:04:27 UTC

the larger city is to support us as well, because a town that small isnt going to support doctors, lawyers, skilled tradesmen etc

2017-10-25 21:04:48 UTC

we can commute to 'the outside world' make our money, and come home to paradise

2017-10-25 21:04:53 UTC

Plus, if you think about it. Who ever really pays attention to city level politics? How many people can name their city council members? Yet these people (at least in my town) are able to do things such as bar huge companies from entering the area to allow for our local ISP to have a monopoly.

2017-10-25 21:05:04 UTC

yep

2017-10-25 21:05:29 UTC

city level civil servants can literally keep walmart and starbucks out of a city

2017-10-25 21:05:51 UTC

so yeah, thats the idea

2017-10-25 21:06:06 UTC

Realistically, that shouldn't be so tough.

2017-10-25 21:06:17 UTC

heres the rub tho; none of you fuckers is dragging a shipping container up next to my dream house, so start saving, nerds

2017-10-25 21:06:25 UTC

Keep in the farmers and tradesmen, keep out the big companies.

2017-10-25 21:07:18 UTC

if we're at the point where we are in city government, it really just becomes about doing literally what's best for the town, which is almost always in line with our way of thinking anyway

2017-10-25 21:07:41 UTC

be conservative, don't sell tomorrow for a pay day today, etc

2017-10-25 21:07:59 UTC

create jobs, keep the gibs as low as possible

2017-10-25 21:08:02 UTC

You might want to explore options like permaculture instead of standard farming.

2017-10-25 21:08:05 UTC

be tough on crime

2017-10-25 21:09:18 UTC

ive watched and read enough of joel salatin to last me a good long while

2017-10-25 21:09:28 UTC
