'Scientism worshipper'

2019-10-28 22:39:55 UTC

I don't know whether to laugh or be concerned.

2019-10-28 22:40:29 UTC

You're using an argument from ignorance. Disprove to me that god doesn't exist is just as fallaceous as what you said.

2019-10-28 22:40:48 UTC

Technically if we haven't seen something with our own eyes we can't say something exists or does not exist

2019-10-28 22:41:27 UTC

@lapizzle Thank you for the substantial evidence.

2019-10-28 22:41:30 UTC

Koala isn't wrong, but at the same time should the Earth not orbit the Sun so many things would be indescribable.

2019-10-28 22:41:38 UTC

That is patently false, your eyes are not your only measurement tool @Koalakitty

2019-10-28 22:41:40 UTC

Is it too hard to be like @lapizzle ?

2019-10-28 22:42:31 UTC

@lapizzle are you talking about your heart?

2019-10-28 22:42:50 UTC

🤔

2019-10-28 22:43:09 UTC

I'm no science freak or to be honest I don't enjoy arguing with people who are adamantly certain in their beliefs and won't back down from it or will make statements which change the course of an argument and make it seem like they've made no claims therefore they don't need to disprove anything.

2019-10-28 22:43:48 UTC

Maybe that didn't come out right but it's 10pm.

2019-10-28 22:43:50 UTC

if you have to force religion into something that does not have religion, that's a problem

2019-10-28 22:44:00 UTC

@b_o_om If you're going to make a claim in the debate channel, kindly supply your own evidence to back it up. That's what River's getting at. Appealing to authority or shifting burden of proof doesn't float in a debate.

2019-10-28 22:44:15 UTC

@b_o_om '' X does claim, X says other person needs to disprove him. X person is right '' lol

2019-10-28 22:45:10 UTC

Debates on such a topical subject such as a 'flat Earth' won't end in a 'X person is right' stance, perhaps the person has won on their end yet that won't convince the other person that they are right.

2019-10-28 22:45:31 UTC

I see where you're coming from, but I just can't see how you can perceive the Earth as flat.

2019-10-28 22:45:51 UTC

But hey-ho, I'm pretty new to all this stuff myself and need to dig a bit deeper.

2019-10-28 22:47:25 UTC

Yall are bad*ss

2019-10-28 22:52:16 UTC

Anywho on the flip side, would anyone like to indulge me on their beliefs on a flat Earth? I'm curious.

2019-10-28 23:26:19 UTC

How do seasons work on the flat Earth? (Genuinely curious)

2019-10-28 23:44:31 UTC

<:confused:625494374402228244>

2019-10-28 23:46:58 UTC

I'm not a flat earther but I know the typical explanations

2019-10-28 23:47:28 UTC

I'm a truther for other reasons

2019-10-28 23:47:57 UTC

False history, pedogate, those kind of things

2019-10-28 23:48:32 UTC

I don't think I should give them if you're looking for a debate

2019-10-28 23:49:02 UTC

I'm not gonna debate for the flat earth side unless someone is acting ret3arded

2019-10-28 23:49:25 UTC

In any case, why are you asking about the heat created by the sun?

2019-10-28 23:50:19 UTC

2019-10-28 23:51:12 UTC

👏

2019-10-28 23:51:16 UTC

*slow clap*

2019-10-28 23:52:20 UTC

That's a fair question but I don't think they'll deny that stars are stars

2019-10-28 23:52:44 UTC

And when they say lights they mainly mean stars we see at night and the planets

2019-10-28 23:53:11 UTC

The sun isn't counted in that

2019-10-28 23:53:21 UTC

The sun is a sun

2019-10-28 23:53:36 UTC

The Earth is an Earth

2019-10-28 23:53:40 UTC

All that fun stuff

2019-10-28 23:56:10 UTC

If you think you're gonna get different answers you'll be disappointed

2019-10-29 02:27:02 UTC

Eeeekk
