However the seasons part I have nothing to agree no disagree on, for It is something that explains the seasons in a way that works.

that's good. the key to being a truth seeker is first humility. never assume you have the answer and second to be open to all ideas and not judge until after investigation

2019-11-18 03:57:04 UTC

Of course

2019-11-18 03:57:20 UTC

cool. then sounds like your biggest issue is.....gravity?

2019-11-18 03:57:37 UTC

Gravity is one of my main ones yes.

2019-11-18 03:58:20 UTC

ah ok. so...."Gravity" is difficult because we still don't understand it. in fact that was one of my first shockers when I started college

2019-11-18 03:58:31 UTC

physics prof said "we still don't understand gravity"

2019-11-18 03:58:39 UTC

I remember like yesterday....was 25yrs ago

2019-11-18 03:58:58 UTC

we don't truly know what causes things to fall down. mass attracting mass has never been proven

2019-11-18 03:59:05 UTC

and we can't replicate gravity

2019-11-18 03:59:11 UTC

nor tune it like we can say with EM

2019-11-18 03:59:21 UTC

but...

2019-11-18 03:59:43 UTC

if we assume for a moment that mass attracts mass...it could be exaplanable on a flat earth model

2019-11-18 03:59:59 UTC

bcs we only can measure/observe that the surface of earth is flat.

2019-11-18 04:00:04 UTC

no clue what's underneath

2019-11-18 04:00:11 UTC

and we've only been able to drill about 8 miles

2019-11-18 04:00:38 UTC

so it's entirely possible that variations in "weight" if ever measured in different locations, could be attributed to different center of mass in that region

2019-11-18 04:00:49 UTC

we don't truly know what is under the surface

2019-11-18 04:01:50 UTC

That's a very interesting way to look at things

2019-11-18 04:02:47 UTC

one could imagine, as a possibly silly example, regions/pockets of high density material scattered throughout the "crust" or "mantle" that causes differential gravitational "force" depending on location

2019-11-18 04:03:12 UTC

just as a thought expt....

2019-11-18 04:03:33 UTC

the last key to being a truthseeker is "holding ambiguity"

2019-11-18 04:03:43 UTC

that is...being comfortable not having solid answers to all the questions.

2019-11-18 04:03:52 UTC

that can be difficult...esp for scientists

2019-11-18 04:04:07 UTC

Well, honestly, this more "silly" example still comes closer to explaining things on a flat earth then most hypothesis I have heard. I'll keep it in mind

2019-11-18 04:04:12 UTC

🙂

2019-11-18 04:04:56 UTC

I can admit that not holding all the answers can be hard, but I try my best not to fall into that trap

2019-11-18 04:04:59 UTC

trust me...I have lots of questions that I don't have satisfactory answers to. But give me one year of NASAs budget (circa $20 Billion) and I guarantee I can create an R&D program to answer them...

2019-11-18 04:05:14 UTC

good for you!!

2019-11-18 04:05:24 UTC

that's what blocks most people in my experience

2019-11-18 04:05:44 UTC

you have to be honest and say "I don't know" but I won't let that stop my pursuit

2019-11-18 04:05:52 UTC

Hey! I gotta say, I'm glad I met you. A lot of times its hard to speak to people with different views because everyone is so quick to call the other person an idiot

2019-11-18 04:06:49 UTC

I will apologize for the whole "flat earth community". realize it's probably the most trolled topic in history. it's constant attacks. so....folks tend to be on high alert all the time.

2019-11-18 04:08:08 UTC

Yea.. though I try to push through it. The only way to learn is to challenge what you think you know

2019-11-18 04:09:08 UTC

Well, for now I apologize but I must get some sleep. I hope to speak to you again at some point.

2019-11-18 04:09:25 UTC

sleep well my friend. talk to you later hopefully 😉

2019-11-18 05:36:40 UTC

Nice to see a friendly discussion on here!

2019-11-18 05:52:30 UTC

👍

2019-11-18 06:20:19 UTC

this is how it SHOULD be.

2019-11-18 06:20:25 UTC

always

2019-11-18 06:21:32 UTC

A civil discussion? About the flat Earth?
