2018-08-27 04:07:17 UTC

/ Soviet Union

2018-08-27 04:07:43 UTC

Cossacks?

2018-08-27 04:09:41 UTC

It's really easy to see the Asiatic influence in some Russians

2018-08-27 04:10:37 UTC

Hmm. That's interesting. Weren't the Cossacks well known as cavalrymen?

2018-08-27 04:11:18 UTC

Do you have any recommendations on a more general Russian history book? I have a gift card to Barnes and Noble I need to use

2018-08-27 04:12:20 UTC

@Doc34 Yes

2018-08-27 04:12:28 UTC

Misha is still a monster

2018-08-27 04:12:50 UTC

2018-08-27 04:13:41 UTC

Thanks

2018-08-27 04:15:44 UTC

Okay. I really have no experience with Russian history aside from a few youtube videos so this will all be new to me

2018-08-27 04:18:38 UTC

it's good, still listening to it

2018-08-27 04:19:59 UTC

Where can I this lol. Is it on youtube

2018-08-27 04:21:46 UTC

That's super cool. I remember I started getting into them after seeing a bunch of amazing photos of Cossack Cavalrymen in their full uniforms posing during a reunion or something

2018-08-27 04:22:04 UTC

Can anyone plug me to the slav server

2018-08-27 04:22:05 UTC

I think they were veterans of the Crimean War

2018-08-27 04:27:08 UTC

It’s definitely one I’m interested in seeing as it’s left out of a lot of western history courses I’ve taken

2018-08-27 04:28:04 UTC

That seems to be a pattern in a lot of Russian Military history

2018-08-27 04:28:12 UTC

At least from what I’ve seen

2018-08-27 04:28:43 UTC

^

2018-08-27 04:29:15 UTC

they might be outdated or inferior, but damn if they don't have alot of em

2018-08-27 04:30:17 UTC

Europe would be the opposite militarily

2018-08-27 04:32:04 UTC

Is this alt hype video a blackpill video

2018-08-27 04:32:06 UTC

I’m scared

2018-08-27 04:32:47 UTC

Darn

2018-08-27 04:39:22 UTC

I’ve never listened to this guy before. Who is he?

2018-08-27 04:39:29 UTC

Referring to the alt hype

2018-08-27 04:39:59 UTC

@Bjorn - MD Cossacks are actually pure Slavs for the most part. They have their origins in the Orthodox Ruthenians who moved to the Ukrainian frontier of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth before it was annexed by Russia. The name Cossack is Turkic in origin and means something along the lines of bandit or outlaw but it was given to them by Tatars and other Turkic Muslim peoples because of the Cossack's penchant for raiding Tatar settlements.

2018-08-27 04:40:27 UTC

@Doc34 Alternative Hypothesis is /ourguy/ that does a lot of research to backup all that he's saying about multiculturalism/race/etc

2018-08-27 04:40:38 UTC

Definitely worth a listen.

2018-08-27 04:41:07 UTC

@Asatru Artist - MD Yeah I like him already. Even though this video makes me a little sad lol

2018-08-27 04:41:14 UTC

lol

2018-08-27 04:41:30 UTC

Now I’m on the Spencer part and it’s not depressing but damn.

2018-08-27 04:42:02 UTC

He’s basically given up on any form of Pan-European Identity

2018-08-27 04:46:30 UTC

@Bjorn - MD You sure about that? I've read that the early Terek Cossacks were Orthodox Ossetians , but the largest groups, the Kuban and Don Cossacks are Slavs.
