So what do you think it is?

2019-11-05 15:14:01 UTC

send links @Heider

2019-11-05 15:14:25 UTC

they got the radius number wrong

2019-11-05 15:15:33 UTC

radius....... @Heider

2019-11-05 15:15:49 UTC

Eratosthenes didn't prove anything, he said stuff that no one believed

2019-11-05 15:15:53 UTC

i though you meant circumfrence nvm

2019-11-05 15:16:10 UTC

But i said radius all the time?

2019-11-05 15:16:11 UTC

at least in regard to the shape of the earth

2019-11-05 15:16:22 UTC

also

2019-11-05 15:16:43 UTC

thats 8,000 in diameter.... thats really big @Heider

2019-11-05 15:16:57 UTC

majority of people were flat earthers and remain flat earthers up until recently

2019-11-05 15:17:07 UTC

no

2019-11-05 15:17:18 UTC

where do you guy's info come from lol

2019-11-05 15:17:28 UTC

@Atlas the Friendly Robot So open https://metabunk.org/curve enter 10 miles in distance and 6 feet in height. And observe how much should be hidden by this fairytale curvature that you believe in. Then you can go out and observe that its not there.

2019-11-05 15:17:36 UTC

im trying to say you are using degree to calculate how much curvature there should be when the earth is huge which is deceitful. 1 degree of a 25k mile circumference is a lot. im asking how much drop of curvature in distance should you see every x miles which would be more genuine.

2019-11-05 15:18:34 UTC

suffice it to say that history is not accurate

2019-11-05 15:19:23 UTC

people in power decide what is history, and most of it is skewed

2019-11-05 15:19:49 UTC

thats kinda true

2019-11-05 15:19:55 UTC

but not to your extent

2019-11-05 15:20:14 UTC

@Batcon got em !

2019-11-05 15:21:33 UTC

people can change the size of the sun to move the sun wherever they want, this isn't science, its pseudoscience

2019-11-05 15:21:59 UTC

massage the numbers to push the sun at 104 million miles away

2019-11-05 15:22:21 UTC

@Atlas the Friendly Robot he uses the Radius in his equations. That is an assumed value. What about proving it first?

2019-11-05 15:22:40 UTC

They assumed a curvature and then observed light and shadows to then assume the radius.

2019-11-05 15:23:38 UTC

whats wrong with assumed values. FE's always use assumed values

2019-11-05 15:23:41 UTC

copernicus and others tried to convince people the earth wasn't flat, but people were not convinced until recently with radio, TV, and other stuff.

2019-11-05 15:24:13 UTC

@Atlas the Friendly Robot Because its not proven. You are trying to prove the ball, and then you are presupposing that its a ball and also assuming that you know its real radius.. Its all just assumptions.. or Faith..

2019-11-05 15:25:04 UTC

this is a 1927 image of the video of the plane going around the earth, propaganda for the globe

2019-11-05 15:25:22 UTC

@Heider ditto

2019-11-05 15:25:30 UTC

@Heider i think its more deceitful when they use degree to prove '' x distance of y degree of curvature '' instead of '' x distanace of y distance of curvature ''

2019-11-05 15:25:43 UTC

globe belief is a religion

2019-11-05 15:26:01 UTC

@Atlas the Friendly Robot No. You were the one using a begging the question fallacy. You were trying to prove that it is a ball. and to do that, you used this article that have already Pressuposed it to be a ball. So you assume it to be a ball to prove that its a ball. Begging the question fallacy.

2019-11-05 15:26:30 UTC

I said he was going to do that with his ball math from the get go
