Amateur people can see sunspots and calculate the trigonometry to the sun

But I understand that’s not what flat earth is about

I’m sure flat earthers don’t disagree with all the science around the sun

thats why the distance from the sun has changed dozens of times throughout history

And more of using better technology to get better information

in some cases pretty significant

only recently the changes became small

but the basic trigonometry you talk about has been used a long time ago

if you actually want an accurate one you would atleast want to know the size of the sun

But science claims to have that information

they can claim all they want

they have no proof

‘my eyes won’t be deceived again’ sounds like you don’t care whatever evidence contrary to your position the future holds

they use some weird technology to measure something so hard

that can be extremely inaccurate

They use the distance between planets to get the earth sun distance

and as i said the trigonometric model is flawed becuase the distance has constantly changed

doesnt matter they cant measure the distance to the planet

Bouncing a laser off of a planet/asteroid and waiting for it to return for an accurate distance

Why not?

People can’t fire a laser to an object, wait for it to return, and calculate a distance?
