That’s true

2019-11-18 03:02:54 UTC

That’s how we got the first estimes

2019-11-18 03:02:57 UTC

Estimates

2019-11-18 03:03:29 UTC

if you actually want an accurate one you would atleast want to know the size of the sun

2019-11-18 03:04:02 UTC

But science claims to have that information

2019-11-18 03:04:24 UTC

they can claim all they want

2019-11-18 03:04:26 UTC

they have no proof

2019-11-18 03:04:33 UTC

Well of course

2019-11-18 03:04:37 UTC

They have evidence

2019-11-18 03:04:42 UTC

nope

2019-11-18 03:05:12 UTC

i dont believe the sun is 400 times further and larger than the moon

2019-11-18 03:05:18 UTC

they look similiar and close to me

2019-11-18 03:05:23 UTC

idc what math nasa did

2019-11-18 03:05:35 UTC

my eyes wont be deceived again

2019-11-18 03:07:43 UTC

If you don’t care about contrary evidence then you’re not really a rational person, would you agree?

2019-11-18 03:08:19 UTC

‘my eyes won’t be deceived again’ sounds like you don’t care whatever evidence contrary to your position the future holds

2019-11-18 03:09:36 UTC

they use some weird technology to measure something so hard

2019-11-18 03:09:45 UTC

that can be extremely inaccurate

2019-11-18 03:10:08 UTC

They use the distance between planets to get the earth sun distance

2019-11-18 03:10:10 UTC

and as i said the trigonometric model is flawed becuase the distance has constantly changed

2019-11-18 03:10:25 UTC

doesnt matter they cant measure the distance to the planet

2019-11-18 03:10:30 UTC

Bouncing a laser off of a planet/asteroid and waiting for it to return for an accurate distance

2019-11-18 03:10:36 UTC

Why not?

2019-11-18 03:11:09 UTC

People can’t fire a laser to an object, wait for it to return, and calculate a distance?

2019-11-18 03:11:27 UTC

its not a laser

2019-11-18 03:11:41 UTC

where does it say laser maybe i missed it

2019-11-18 03:13:09 UTC

Ah

2019-11-18 03:13:14 UTC

Not laser my bad

2019-11-18 03:13:23 UTC

Radar signal is the term they use

2019-11-18 03:13:36 UTC

just like using radiometric data to measure old fossils is extremely inaccurate

2019-11-18 03:13:45 UTC

But lasers are used for objects like the moon

2019-11-18 03:13:54 UTC

what makes you think radio waves will measure distance of such far objects accurately

2019-11-18 03:13:55 UTC

But that’s besides the point for interplanetary objects

2019-11-18 03:14:11 UTC

Because they’ve produced accurate results?

2019-11-18 03:14:26 UTC

how can you test that?

2019-11-18 03:14:28 UTC

you cant

2019-11-18 03:14:30 UTC

know for sure

2019-11-18 03:14:45 UTC

I’m of the belief that can’t know anything for certain

2019-11-18 03:14:47 UTC

BUT

2019-11-18 03:15:11 UTC

You can use the radar measuring to measure the distance of a planet like mars when it’s on the other side of the sun and when it’s close
