did i use it incorrect?

2019-11-24 22:01:59 UTC

yeah, their are many examples of incorrect word usage

2019-11-24 22:02:03 UTC

plz post the line

2019-11-24 22:02:14 UTC

that sounds wrong

2019-11-24 22:02:15 UTC

^^ that was a joke btw

2019-11-24 22:03:00 UTC

@negatic
my main problem with it is, it is really really vague
an AI programmed to maximise paperclips undergoes intelligence explosion and inorder to achieve its goals its harms humanity in the process
my problem with it is, *what* is this AI? what functions does it have? can it move on its own?
because if its just a piece of program with limited access to all other functions there's no way its gonna be a trheat to anything

2019-11-24 22:03:01 UTC

@carlito they dont understand context or the language they use apparently

2019-11-24 22:03:02 UTC

satan should soon be done with the answer

2019-11-24 22:03:03 UTC

ah good

2019-11-24 22:03:07 UTC

lol

2019-11-24 22:03:14 UTC

i'll brb

2019-11-24 22:03:37 UTC

you heard about the boxing of ai?

2019-11-24 22:04:02 UTC

if something is smart enough it might wiggle its electrons in its circuits ina certain way to affect stuff in the outside world

2019-11-24 22:04:12 UTC

or just talks to humans and makes them do whatever it wants

2019-11-24 22:04:13 UTC

😁

2019-11-24 22:04:20 UTC

I hate it when people use the wrong their like holy shit it's right their!

2019-11-24 22:04:33 UTC

@Abe Lover head do er

2019-11-24 22:04:36 UTC

Just use the correct they're

2019-11-24 22:04:40 UTC

so, basically you're saying that it's unthinkable that AI can integrate disparate functionalities into a single all functioning entity

2019-11-24 22:04:50 UTC

i mean that ai just needed to talk to humans giving it an extended way of interacting with the world and it could do anything @carlito

2019-11-24 22:05:46 UTC

@Abe Lover they try correct you on bs and dont even understand punctuation grammar and context

2019-11-24 22:06:04 UTC

and everyone signs up for it

2019-11-24 22:06:06 UTC

its also interesting is there a pattern of words in some configuration that would basically make you do anything? @Satan

2019-11-24 22:06:11 UTC

cus everyone else is

2019-11-24 22:06:14 UTC

lol

2019-11-24 22:06:37 UTC

no offense but all these philosophically examples of hypothetical ais are so far off from reality that it cant be taken seriously

2019-11-24 22:07:00 UTC

we actually dont know if there far off or not

2019-11-24 22:07:19 UTC

but its better to prepaire against the worst case

2019-11-24 22:07:37 UTC

the so called management team in the department i was working for could hardly write a comprehensible sentence , let alone get their spelling and context grammar right @ElectroquasistaticMagnetoMan lol

2019-11-24 22:07:39 UTC

after all there seems to be a great filter and we might not have it behind us

2019-11-24 22:08:41 UTC

we wont get replaced by a.i ,we earn way more money ,machines etc ,factories ,perhaps yes ,but its us ,we,who make money not just in work ,but in living costs

2019-11-24 22:09:09 UTC

daniel its almost certain that lots of jobs will get lost in the forseeable future to ai

2019-11-24 22:09:19 UTC

its not as speculative as what we talk about

2019-11-24 22:09:55 UTC

yeah a weird sentient blinky AI inside a box is very far off from reality

2019-11-24 22:09:55 UTC

humans are more lucrative

2019-11-24 22:10:06 UTC

(also if i make errors feel free to post em with a correction so i may improve my grammar)

2019-11-24 22:10:26 UTC

well, the brackets aren't necessary for starters ^

2019-11-24 22:10:29 UTC

noone said sentient or blinky 😉

2019-11-24 22:10:37 UTC

jk

2019-11-24 22:10:39 UTC

it is described that way

2019-11-24 22:10:48 UTC

i dont think u need sentient
