basically, the female indian prime minister was the worst kind of globalist back in the 70s

she enacted 'beautification' policies that would get homeless off the streets

saying it would improve the economy

instead, the govt ended up employing the homeless people (of course, they only payed them enough to eat, so they couldn't actually move above their situation) with govt housing

and small business suffered because there was a lot less people to hire

so only the big corporations benefited from increased law and order

crack downs, etc.

IMF approved them more loans, hence the economy 'boomed' for awhile

but my guess is that ended and the economy went down again

given the keynesianism
