Yeah, you're going to be going a lot, then
@Flint Backpack, 2 saddle bags, and a sissy bar bag
@Flint Ya, but that applies to any store I go to. Also my backpack is pretty big and I can carry two bags. So I don't think that's an issue.
My only issue really is whether it's a waste of time.
@Phillip Wiglesworth - FL That's not too bad, then. That's a lot more bags on your bike than most have
@Jacob yeah dude, it's a waste of time. You may save a few bucks, but a 3 hour round trip?
@Flint When I buy bread stuffs, they go on my lap 😂 or charcoal, when I'm gonna BBQ. Get funny looks with a bag of charcoal on my lap
3 hour round trip will get old real quick. You're going to find yourself tightening your diet just so you don't have to go out there again.
Save good money plus it's a massive selection
idk, I'm used to taking long trips everywhere since I've never had a car
Do you have Shipt Shopping out there?
True hunting and gathering lol
Maybe, but it would probably cost more than just going to a more expensive store
It definitely won't get old fast because I've gone through worse
I had a 4 hour round trip to my old college. That was probably the worst period of my life.
I used to have to walk and backpack my groceries in my early 20's. You gotta do what you gotta do
Are you rural af?
not af, but, somewhat
Like, way out there?
not way out
a lot of people here use public bus and grocery shop, too
the bus routes are extremely convenient and have stops at every Publix
You should get an awesome bicycle with a ton of straps and metal baskets on it
Like a mountain bike type thing
Well, since you've had a similar experience in your early 20s, maybe a better question would be, in the mind of your 20 year old self, would my situation be acceptable? Obviously for a real adult with a real job this would be unthinkable, but what if you put yourself in the situation of college student version of you?
Of course it's acceptable, I mean, you do what you gotta do to save money and feed yourself.
It's acceptable because it's all you can do at the moment. It's not a bad thing--just going through that rough phase where even getting food is difficult
But definitely find ways of being more efficient, like getting a bike
The bus fare will cost the same soon, anyway
Freedom of travel and independence does wonders for morale
I used to sleep on my folded clothes on a hardwood floor and had no phone, tv, or internet, just a radioand a bible sitting on a desk I built out of scrap wood.
Was 100%, easily, the most advantageous time in my life. never will I have the free time I had then for self reflection, learning, reading, etc
It sucked, but man, I ran through reading lists like I was in prison or something
Okay here's another question. Is there anything wrong with going shopping directly after going to the gym? Like, obviously I might smell a bit bad, but does anyone notice that when they're grocery shopping?
Depends on *how bad* you sweat or smell
Most people could get away with it
I just lifted weights. Didn't do extreme cardio or anything.
You're probably fine
Just bring a shirt to change out of
ya
