Ideally we could follow people and ideas
I have had many a discussion with Patrick. Always I get a nuanced answer, free of the narcissism of the Spencer crowd. He really believes in this from the bottom of his heart.
As in, think for yourself, figure out who the best people are, and follow the guidance of those people. Of course, if the people betray the original ideas that got you to follow them, stop following them.
Another way to put it would be follow ideas, use the ideas to find high quality people, and use the people to find more ideas
I've actually heard someone say "follow people not ideas" which would be a disaster and is how we end up with guys like Trump fanboys who flip every time he flips like clockwork.
As we have seen with the recent Trump cucking on this SC hearing.
Trump is cool and all, but I would abandon him in a minute if he betrays the goals of his base.
I have hopes for Steve King. He retweets Aunt Lana
He could be the post-Trump nationalist candidate.
Steve King is great
@Jacob lmao at your name change
Interested how Steve King and I came out with some pro-white quotes at almost the same time
I wonder if this signals a change in direction
I am hoping he can take Grassley's senate seat after retirement.
oh ya I forgot he's House not Senate
What is it with his district that makes it so based?
Joni Ernst is young (and unfortunately the Koch-iest of the Koch-it's). So it sohld have to be Grassley
Would Iowa as a whole elect him?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iowa%27s_4th_congressional_district reAlly fucking rural
95% white
I wonder if I would enjoy living in a more rural area
I'm definitely happy I moved to where I am right now
semi-rural area in Eastern Washington
well, I have lived in WA as well as IA. Iowa has better people but WA has more interesting environment.
Eastern Iowa is pretty cucked to my understanding.
the people here are okay
here specifically, not Washington as a whole
East has Cedar Rapids and Iowa City and waterloo
Don't forget Des Moines.
That isn't eastern
How big in terms of population is Steve King's district in relation to the rest of Iowa?
But yes sesmoines is very liberal. Iowa is a microcosm. There is a reason it gets first primary
Very sparse. easily least populous district
So if a moderate-left from De moines or thr Omaha suburbs or Ames ran against him it would be tougb
I'm so glad Iowa passed a sanctuary city ban this year. They did it at just the right time.
Tennessee did too.
@Wood-Ape - OK/MN Omaha? That's in Nebraska.
It is over the river
Suburbs in Iowa. Like how Kansas City and St Louis metros straddle state boundaries
@Hakujin - CA I actually wasn't aware of that. nice
