I can't see what folder you are in

like I said I don't use windows, but on windows computers I've installed the hosts file in (extended family etc), it was in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

you need to enable "show file extensions" in your explorer

again, I don't use windows, so I don't know how you do that

but after you do that

1. delete the "hosts" file

2. rename "hosts.txt" to "hosts"
