.agree
someone posted this on hackernews (news site for computer experts) https://medium.com/@melissamcewen/i-just-dont-want-to-be-a-software-developer-anymore-a371422069a1
holy shit when did sargon make this album it must be lit
I love these old album covers I have lots
everyone needs a hobby!
he's probably crying because he was born in the wrong time
ready for the weekend
so noone is bothered by spamming repeat memes?
can I do that to farm xp?
how the fuck does it have 9k likes
they can say whatever they want, and then they can do whatever they want (even if it contradicts what they told you) without you knowing what the hell they're doing
that's what a private company can do, I will never understand americans
that's probably not accurate - what you should say is "we presume ISPs acted like there was NN before 2015", because american ISPs/telecoms were actively engaged in lobbying to _stop_ net neutrality being implemented in europe from 2004 and onwards until it was enacted around 2011
he means EU, of course
it was enacted in 2011 in the EU, like I said earlier
it was enacted in 2011 in the EU, like I said earlier
the EU should be burned to the ground at this point, but the legislation they've enacted for consumer protection is stronger than anything in the world
both things can be true at the same time
well I was mostly talking about data retention policies and net neutrality and privacy issues, so that's my bad with regards to wording
I realise there are better warranties by law in individual countries
that's just hilarious I think :-P I wonder if it has had any actual "good" effects
from what I can see, people either don't understand that the "popup/under bar" is not part of the website and just ignore it as screen-spam, or they click "OK" before reading it
I understand it, and I still consider it screen-spam
wait, didnt emma whatsherface cry before the UN that the world needs more feminism
that's sure doesn't sound like a keki thing to do, unless she was trolling
inclusively, I presume you mean
but I'm quite sure that's false anyway
unless you count orange as red maybe :P
ah fuck, you said "nation", okay nevermind me, I'm not willing to assert if it's true or false then
none that I can think of, but I didn't see you said "nation" - the first flag I thought of was the flemish one that is just black and yellowish/orange
so perhaps flemish separatists would be triggered by the assertion :P
she should date that guy instead of suing him
this week in stupid, twis
I'm not quite sure how to respond, because it obviously depends on the subject matter and also - whether we like it or not - how you've grown to interpret "paradox", but I've never considered undecidable problems in computing to be paradoxes at all
to me, a paradox is when you start with a reasonable preposition or whatever, and then the conclusion is not what you'd expect
roughly speaking
oh, then we disagree on what an undecidable problem is
right
that's not a paradox
the conclusion is entirely what I expect
I'm not sure, should I just repeat myself?
this might appear like a paradox to someone who doesn't know the subject matter, but like I said, the conclusion to this algorithm is entirely expected for me
I'd say that provided the wording of the supposed paradox includes the word "arbitrary" or equivalent, it's not actually a paradox
a paradox is always resolved, by my own definition of the word, like I said, so we don't really agree on the basics of the semantics
which is fine, and almost always the case, it just means I should not have said anything at the outset
I'm not sure why you're asking that now, I made this clear in my 2nd sentence
[1:26 AM] folk: to me, a paradox is when you start with a reasonable preposition or whatever, and then the conclusion is not what you'd expect
like I said, this is always a problem when you're discussing on a higher level than "beer", which is why I started my reply with a caveat or two, and laid out my definition immediately
"Council Members currently receive $148,500 a year in base salary"
I've gotten off tickets twice, and both times the police officer literally said "you seem like a nice person", but now I'm starting to think they were secretly members of the 3rd reich and I used some sort of secret facial expression
training rifle for sentient trucks
I don't understand why this channel exists - I legitimately don't know any good arguments for restricting gun ownership from regular citizens
what is there to debate?
I should frame that image and sell it to anti-masturbation clinics
I'm a euronigger, I presume, even though I'm white, and the only thing that offends me about that picture is the low rates of voting in the US
and your god, always with the god stuff
it's not separated at all, "in god we trust" *puke*
here we go again, demofags blaming putin
clintoshills
I bet actually he doesn't want to talk to anyone outside of russia, and would rather spend his time naked on a horse shooting bears and fucking models
it's time for kekistan to rise once again
5-10% of the population
everything else is jerking off :P
meratrix plz with the cheesypoofs
rec room at your local antifa
nothing of value really
well it's my first time, I was naive
same thing with antifa saying the US is fascist, and yet they're not in prison
by and large, except those who get caught for violence etc :P
yeah
I can't see what folder you are in
like I said I don't use windows, but on windows computers I've installed the hosts file in (extended family etc), it was in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
no
you need to enable "show file extensions" in your explorer
again, I don't use windows, so I don't know how you do that
but after you do that
1. delete the "hosts" file
2. rename "hosts.txt" to "hosts"
no, file explorer
:P
did you get the hosts file working
nub
[12:22 AM] folk: but after you do that
[12:22 AM] folk: 1. delete the "hosts" file
[12:22 AM] folk: 2. rename "hosts.txt" to "hosts"
I don't have one, but it's hard to convince extended family sometimes :P
so sometimes I'm forced to try to help their laptops, and that file certainly helps
yeah I did that to my close family a decade ago, but it's not always something extended people allow
sometimes it is, I converted an uncle this summer, and it's obviously fine
gender is probably the next thing they'll remove from official police reports in sweden :P
