I MET Maggie three times when I was in the SAS — twice in Hereford and once on

I just read a hot take on the "turn the other cheek"-mentality of Christians. Back when Rome occupied Judea it was illegal for Romans to humiliate Jews, so they were only allowed to slap once with the palm, turning the other cheek and them also hitting them with the back of the hand would have been illegal and therefore was an advice from Jesus how to resist the occupiers.
