it doesn't exist

2019-03-24 12:37:18 UTC

i meant that even if you were very religious like most commoners were, they probably would have preferred to be home rather than walking across the continent to die by the sword.

2019-03-24 12:37:25 UTC

I'm finnish

2019-03-24 12:43:22 UTC

Crusaders weren't particularly known for being extremely pious or religious, especially the common folk. They just wanted out of the serfdom system, and the possibility of finding fortune in foreign lands, with the added bonus of all committed sins being removed and the automatic entry into heaven was extremely tempting for the peasantry

2019-03-24 12:44:33 UTC

Yea

Reminder that Salahdin Ayubi was fucking lit

2019-03-24 22:55:10 UTC

he is the best muslim

2019-03-24 22:55:16 UTC

dead <:pepe_smug:378719408341909506>

2019-03-24 22:55:43 UTC

Also one of the most benevolent rulers in muslim history. Respected all his subjects, no matter religion. <:pepe_smug:378719408341909506>

2019-03-24 22:56:06 UTC

You just like him because he was a kurd <:pepe_smug:378719408341909506>

2019-03-24 22:56:22 UTC

Too bad Islam is backwards and devolves as it moves forward

2019-03-24 22:56:59 UTC

@Mal I sure do have a bias. But prove me wrong. <:GWcorbinTopKek:384871333705678868>

2019-03-24 22:57:41 UTC

@Fitzydog We have to fast forward the renassaince in the muslim world. That is not something that can be done in the West. But its something htat must happen at the homes in the muslim world.

2019-03-24 22:58:28 UTC

The Arab spring was so close to becoming that renaissance

2019-03-24 22:58:38 UTC

Very close. But not quite there.

2019-03-24 22:59:26 UTC

But, with the access to internet, and the growing liberal population, and the ongoing anger at the islamist rulership in the many nations, we might see an uprising again. Maybe a violent one again, or a subtle change like in Tunisia.

2019-03-24 23:00:32 UTC

Most of you peeps here dont really speak Arabic nor kurdish, so you cant keep an eye on many of the debates between theologicians etc etc.

2019-03-24 23:00:41 UTC

Things are changing. Just not fast enough.

2019-03-24 23:03:22 UTC

Become the Kurdish savior that builds a democracy for refugees to return to

2019-03-24 23:03:50 UTC

I have already planned on finishing my education here. Go back. Get a good as clinic. Then start doing politics.

2019-03-24 23:04:30 UTC

Only way to fix the shit is people like me. Sons of daughters of the refugees from many years ago. We are westernized (usually), and people respect us for being educated.

2019-03-24 23:04:52 UTC

Open a gun store

2019-03-24 23:05:04 UTC

Iraq, Syria, Iran. All are nations able to change. Persians are doing it themselves, Syrians are really liberal, Iraqis it depends.

2019-03-24 23:05:09 UTC

Could do that too.

2019-03-24 23:05:16 UTC

They are legal as far as I know

2019-03-24 23:05:44 UTC

I thought about opening a clinic. You can earn around 2K USD a day if you're good.

2019-03-24 23:06:00 UTC

There's a braindrain. Not enough educated people.

2019-03-24 23:07:06 UTC

Entrepreneurs are more important for a burgeoning economy, tbh.

If you build it, the brains will come.

2019-03-24 23:07:33 UTC

Agreed. State is really investing in it too. If you have everything planned, they give you some oil money to finish the project.

2019-03-24 23:08:30 UTC

You know cardboard? That is unironically a HUGE thing you can earn a lot of money on over there. Someone just needs to make *one* factory. And then people in Iraqi kurdistan stop needing to buy from Iran and Turkey

2019-03-24 23:09:07 UTC

Really?? Dude, if youve got an idea, there are business planners that will help you felsh it out for you and write a proposal to present

2019-03-24 23:09:42 UTC

You think? Like yeah. Carboard is one of those things. They buy it off the turks and persians, needing to pay huge tarrifs too.

2019-03-24 23:10:22 UTC

Oh yeah? Perfect niche

2019-03-24 23:12:02 UTC

Maybe I should start talking with my relatives and maybe plan something.

2019-03-24 23:12:16 UTC

Like, we arent a poor family. Its not a far fetched idea.

2019-03-24 23:12:37 UTC

<:think_madpepe:378717098630971395>

2019-03-24 23:13:48 UTC

@MountainMan Entrepreneurs are the backbone of liberal democracy

2019-03-24 23:14:24 UTC

Yes. Very true.

2019-03-25 03:42:02 UTC

You might have a problem getting enough fibre stock to manufacture. Depending on local business and industry look into collection of used cardboard to recycle. Unlike other materials it is a fairly straightforward process. Oh you're probably asleep it's like midnight @MountainMan I'll leave an @ incase you're serious about the project.

2019-03-25 05:49:15 UTC

Yeah Thanks for the @ man
