Most states have such stringent requirements for the selling of health insurance, that you're basically paying a small difference in cost for the logo on the envelope you get in the mail each month.

There's practically no competition in the market due to state rules from up above

Hell in my state, you are LITERALLY paying for the exact same product from different companies because that's all the insurance companies are, are resellers of the states product

Anyone who tells you that health insurance could be cheaper from the state, has no idea how insurance or health regulations work

so essentially its their own rules outsourced and the problem lies at the top
