She claims she loves her country... but I suspect the loss of control over government contracts to her buddies (and husband's companies) will be the real bitter pill she is now swallowing.
This was sort of the point of Brexit - to highlight that the entire political class have been wearing the emperor's new clothes - not one of them has a spine and were hiding behind the skirts of the EU when a decision had to be made.
...but in the absense of such an insightful politician, the imposition of Macron-style police state will be how they will try to maintain control of power.
