watching news?
people tell you stories?
no, I haven't had a plugged in TV for 20 years, I never watch local news
I'm not sure what to say except I've done it, both legally and illegally
lol
the illegal way was me and a friend distributed fake USB drives at a local political conference
with custom stickers on them
**NORWEGIAN HACKERS**
the legal way was penetration testing hiring
as for the wifi and exposed USB ports, anyone can see that if you just walk into an office
are people aware about how crap it is or?
well, certainly IT people are aware
it has gotten better the past 10 years or so
and again, at a national defense level, it's much better, and there are competent people operating the backbone routers and such
how is it compared to sweden and danemark?
I'd imagine it's pretty much the same in the whole world except the US
and possibly israel
nonono
you mean (((**ISRAEL**)))
yes, so the kaspersky thing it's not really something that I can even imagine being a priority here
I mean I am literally unable to play the scenario in my head, there's so many other things to worry about first
like the price of herring or oil?
I mean there's no network among offices, there's just email from person to person
so even if one local office had kaspersky software, who cares
do you have very long days/nights?
a friend of mine recently bought a decommissioned "refugee hotel" with 240 beds or so
and the official internet connection from the department of immigration was still operating with their router and monitoring box intact and on
in the basement, with a connection to every room
huh, interesting
they probably emptied the "hotel" with the people working there, you know - 10-15 women
and just left, they have no idea how "the internet works"
I say "recently", I mean 6-8 months ago
lol
the internet connection is still there
ehh
wait
what
who's paying for it?
the governemnt?
well my friend bought it, the hotel
the internet connection is still paid by the government, one assumes
