Eskom is the _sole_ supplier of electricty to the grid

- they're out of money
- they're required _by new law as of summer 2017_ to employ people in the same distribution as exists in the population, racially, and there are simply not enough black engineers
- there's already rolling blackouts continously in the major cities, the company says there's like 20% of the grid that they can't feed

I think it was something like 80% of the employees of eskom were white, and now they need to not just hire blacks, but actually replace the existing workers
