Welp, given that the usual accusation is that Trump hates all African nations, I can see why they did it
the west should take lots of blame on the state of africa today, but it has nothing to do with the period of colonization
1. we give them foreign aid, which just amplifies corruption and has zero benefit in the long term - actually negative effects, not just zero benefit

2. we take their most disenfranchised people, by allowing them to emigrate - the people who would be agents of change
I tend to look at it as a parent still giving their drug-addicted child money

you're not actually *helping* them by doing that
the points I make above are proven, this is not nonsense, and yet every year people donate billions to foreign aid, and the only positive effect of it is that you feel like a good person for a few hours
I always thought those adverts on TV asking me to donate were WRONG
and can brag about it at parties later
to others who are unaware of the destructive effects of foreign aid
