nice timing

2018-03-09 10:00:59 UTC

considering the deputy PM in Oz just resigned

2018-03-09 10:02:20 UTC

If this doesn't get brought up during Question Time I'll be very disappointed

2018-03-09 10:02:47 UTC

Meanwhile,

` the company has fought a sustained battle against increases to the minimum wage, an issue that affects women disproportionately`

*W O M E N M O S T A F F E C T E D*

2018-03-09 10:03:51 UTC

So

2018-03-09 10:03:55 UTC

Make sure your shift is covered

2018-03-09 10:04:00 UTC

that's not the law here at least

2018-03-09 10:04:23 UTC

number of times fucking cunts at our company have chucked sickies *the day of*

2018-03-09 10:04:28 UTC

leaving everyone else scrambling to cover

2018-03-09 10:05:01 UTC

One guy was asked to provide a doctor's certificate for the days he took off

2018-03-09 10:05:04 UTC

and he quit on the spot

2018-03-09 10:05:16 UTC

once again leaving everyone else scrambling to cover his shifts

A doctors note here is like a MOAB

Managers cannot do shit if you have a Doctors note

also EU Law makes people very difficult to fire

2018-03-09 10:10:52 UTC

that is a lie, I've fired lots of people - people think it's "hard" because they can't just fire people on the spot, but that's nonsense

2018-03-09 10:10:58 UTC

it's a persons life you're talking about

2018-03-09 10:11:54 UTC

the only thing you need to do is provide 3 written, signed letters where you point to a specific thing you've required them to do within a time period, that they haven't done, for example

2018-03-09 10:12:26 UTC

of course I've never had a firing challenged, but lawyer said I'm fine

depends where you work. If you got HR up your ass some people are just impossible to fire

2018-03-09 16:40:28 UTC

lol, yup

2018-03-09 16:40:40 UTC

like I said elsewhere, comments section is the fucking apocalypse

2018-03-09 16:40:48 UTC

legit surprised we're still discussing this in current year

2018-03-09 16:44:52 UTC

It's such a losing issue, too

2018-03-09 16:45:55 UTC

I legit believe that part of the reason Rs were able to make such a comeback was because of the generational changeover since the 1990s, where so many young people who grew up to be R voters/conservatives played video games just like any other teenager

2018-03-09 16:46:21 UTC

having older conservatives rail against video games all over again just makes them look as out of touch as the people who did it in the 90s over games like Night Trap

2018-03-09 16:46:42 UTC

And the Dems did the same thing against metal music in the 80s

2018-03-09 16:47:02 UTC

I mean, I'm sure there were Rs who went right along with the the campaign against metal music, but Tipper Gore was leading the fuckin' charge against it

2018-03-09 16:47:10 UTC

I think Bannon used to help Trump with these types of issues, make sure he didn;t look "out of touch" as you say

2018-03-09 16:47:21 UTC

mmm

2018-03-09 16:47:28 UTC

much as I find Bannon to be pretty fucking greasy

2018-03-09 16:47:32 UTC

you might still be right on that point
