think about it from her POV
put your feet in her shoes
That's what Peterson's been saying for a while. Don't play their game. It never results on something good.
and the Centre Liberals HATE identity Politics
Anyone with half a brain, would (and should).
I haven't bothered reading any of JBP's work prior to his elevation to international fame, but I do not think he was the first or only person of political relevancy to hold such an opinion.
Liberal criticism of collectivism, in academia, has pointed out such risks before.
politics already breaks people down into different voting demographics
this doesn't seem like anything new
Unless she's suggesting turning it up to 11
When it was identitarians and the alt-right trying to argue that blacks and mexicans will never vote R because they're genetically pre-inclined to vote D for free shit or some other high_iq babble
Meanwhile other Rs have been arguing for quite some time that you need only shift the voting margins of these demographics by 10-15 points in the other direction
Soon after I discovered him, I went back and tried to watch all his lectures.
And it makes it look like the Ds could never get elected again
He's been holding his opinions for a good while. Definitely not just a reflection of current events.
I've played some of his old lectures over the PA at work on a Sunday night
People come in asking who the person is
Like, legit interested
They won't get elected if they put up Michelle Obama 2020 and Chelsea Clinton 2024
Oprah 2030
Play some JBPWave.
(I say this as someone who thinks that is also a terrible idea)
I have ;p
I've also played Akira's remix of the Internet Historian
Fashwave bestwave
Internet Historian is a lazy fuck.
Yes, but academically speaking, liberal criticism of collectivism and identity politics outdates JBP. He's helping bring renewed focus to the issues that are related to this today - starting a debate that needs to be had, in the public, so that they can be informed.
He was once framed as the stupid person's smart guy by vice I think and I don't think they realise how right and wrong they are
He's not the stupid person's smart guy
It's the political aspect of JBP that makes him important to current public debate, not his academic accomplishments, although these in no way detract from his status.
He's the old man's modern intellectual
It's refreshing that more liberal minded professors are speaking out.
You can show him to your parents who've watched cnn for 30 years and they'd be inclined to agree with him
I keep forgetting to watch this, and you've reminded me that I should share it while I'm at it
PSA Sitch is also a lazy fuck!
I'm certain they would, but both my parents are liberals (in a Scandinavian reference frame)
My parents believed in the wage gap and systematical oppression of women and minorities
I showed them jbp 3 months ago
And they've recently been getting w0ke as fuck
