It's more about the fact they have now set a precedent for searching peoples DNA via ancestry style websites.

Genealogy websites and whatnot

I'm really skeptical of them suddenly finding some revolutionary forensics method out of thin air, considering so much has been denounced recently as being absolutely bogus.

for them to be searching DNA to "match family members or see if they have already submitted it"

They could download your dna profile and grow some of your dna (like a hair strand) in a lab, plant it somewhere and claim you were there

I've always been really interested cause I want to see exactly where my heritage is from going back further then I already know, but this kind of shit just puts me off it. The potential crazy shit they could do with your DNA.

Especially since they just have it kept on file, no telling if they delete it even if you request them to.

When I looked at a lot of tests on YouTube it was mostly non-whites doing the tests wanting to find out information about where they are from

Remember, 23andme got into troubles with the FDA for promising to spot markers genetic diseases. Because the tests they did couldn't actually reliably detect them.

Then they dropped it, and started saying shit about knowing your ancestors. And now we know that's bullshit too.

There is also a similar site that claims to be able to tell you your sports DNA profile, like what your body is essentially built for and whatnot

They're handing out "you have nigger genes" results to caucasians, just in case they might be white supremacists. And Scandinavian genes to blacks so they can claim WE WUZ VIKANGZ AND SHIT.
