finally something sensible
can't they reverse that?
cuz they can't revoke article 50 either
no deal is still the legal default
Revoke Article 50 is legally possible
Apply to EU to postpone leaving date - still possible, but will require all 27 other EU states to agree (it just takes one to veto it)
and several nations are giving hints that they may veto it
The thing about revoking Article 50 is that it can be triggered again any time with no need for permission from EU... but it would need a Brexiter PM to take over, then go straight to no-deal because there's no point trying to expect fair treatment from a resentful EU
Based spaghetti man
The problem with a fresh Article 50 is that it would need to get Patliamentary approval first (win a vote)
...and Remoaner MP's would probably not vote for it a second time, unless they fear getting lynched by their constituents.
You Brits haven't had a good lynching yet
<:pepe_sad:378719408345841664>
Well Democracy is supposed to prevent the Lynching
But they're preventing the democracy so they're getting the lynching

and black
@Jabba can parliament not reverse a ruling tho?
Anything can be reversed with an Act of Parliament - theoretically there isn't time before 29 March, but because the place is full of Remoaners, they could maybe force it through in super-quick time, albeit that would in itself be illegal because there needs to be sufficient time to debate and review legislation.
Remove
Kebab
why would it not be legal?
[so they maybe do it, but an enquiry would find they did not follow procedure - that should nullify the reversal, but no guarantee Parliament would really go back to No-Deal even with such a ruling]
I'll change my name to Kebab. And then by removing me you fulfill it.
*points to head and grins*
ππ»
well ofc they won't do it
but in theory they could right?
in theory, absolutely
has that ever happened/
where they reversed a legislation very shortly after it was passed?
Not for something as fundamental as Brexit... normally such changes are thoroughly debated and tested first - but these cucks only care about short-term convenience rather than the fundamental earthquake they are creating to British stability.
----
I can't think of anything offhand that would have been reversed so quickly... more like after 100-150 years
oof
They are fucking with the system so hard that it is creaking with their bullshit
That said, Brexit itself is reversing the 46 year old decision to join the EEC in 1973...
...but obviously that's quite different than trying to reverse EU withdrawal some three years after Brexit was agreed via the referendum - especially as we haven't even left yet - so it's really anti-democratic to reverse EU Withdrawal Bill.
WRONG
we are not leaving the EEC
