I thought the guy was supposed to be redpilled on Islam but he pretty much just gives excuses for it the whole way through.
cause he is outspoken when terrorism happens
and he says yes it is because of Islam
it is in the book and justifies it
"I've been made victorious with terror."
I just find it silly that he can arrive at the conclusion that a lot of parts of his faith are ridiculous, but then not take the logical last step and discard it entirely. But I suppose if it were that easy, there wouldn't be any muslims left.
he just does what everyone else does, and makes up his own way of "interpreting" things, so he can ignore all the bad shit
Eh, shit's goofy
Who has the coolest looking god of the monotheists?
if Yehova made man in the image of himself, he'd look like some mono-browed middle-easterner. So, not him?
lol
The whole problem is, if you think you have the authority to edit the scriptures on a whim, they have no authority; thus, they have no meaning.
Like that one Bishop on the 2nd century that decided he was going to discard the Old Testament, and change the New Testament to remove all references to the Old.
So far, the only reasoning I've seen for justifying the change in Islam has been "to make it compatible with western civilization."
Which is good for people that like the western civilization, but not very appealing for Muslims.
That australian shia imam that tommy was talking to spoke in a time-frame of hundreds of years, iirc
that "reform" would be impossible for a long time. He advocated for discarding the hadiths entirely
so he's effectively useless
as are all other present-day muslim "reformists"
The hadiths are the only documentation about the life of Muhammad. The Quran commands Muslims to use Muhammad's life as a guide to live their own lives.
Do you feel, like I did, that Tommy is just going along with what he is saying for the most part?
he did say that there were only like 1 million muslims worldwide who'd agree with his specific way of thinking
so again, pretty useless fellow
>He advocated for discarding the hadiths entirely
I don't know what Tommy was thinking, but if I were to guess, he was just trying to be respectful and hopeful that people like this guy would somehow gain a measure of influence
I'm not going to watch the whole 50 min.
I think Tommy just used that to show he has support from "some" Muslims.
that's probably part of it
I think both of them were right on wahabbi sunni islam being the main problem
The Lord Pearson video is also good since he is actually talking with someone directly involved in UK politics and has been for a very long time.
it's been a while since I watched it, so I can't remember his argumentation for discarding the hadiths. I don't recall what kind of reasoning he used, you'd have to look for the specific part
About Islam
Thing is, Islam must lose any and all protection status.
oof
Americans and their corruption of the word "liberal"
Conservatives dont promote fear
lol
