It might come down to sheer arrogance of some of the management of EA thinking they can get away with everything

Devlopers also might have stopped carring eventually

however, it also takes more than passion and i think many of the dev are trash at actually designing a game

i think everyone has a point when theyll stop caring, but it takes so long to reach for a lot of people that their work may only suffer gradually

plus, you can only be so bad at writing code

companies have very poor retention

the people who actualy make the game dont mean shit and their opinions of what is good does not matter

Warframes devs actualy give a shit as they are the company

Ubi and EA run badly because the people who care about money dont care about the product for it's own sake

It's funny when we think this happened in the past, with Atari; management stepped in, fired all game designers; then they got together and made Activision.

I'd imagine if the publishers are any good they gonna cate at least somewhat about creative freedom. EA actually published some really good games i the past where I doubt they forced the developers from changing much. A lot more games are also realised independently now

and are unwilling to risk to gain a new experiance

they only polish it more. and resell the concepts
