he gives you everything you need to debunk his argument right here, as long as he is wrong

Ummm link shortener please.

2018-05-07 06:26:34 UTC

@Legiondude I noticed lol

2018-05-07 07:00:47 UTC

Thanks

2018-05-07 07:01:31 UTC

This guy is asking me what makes Venezuela socialist lol

2018-05-07 07:02:00 UTC

we go from 0⃣ to 💯 *real* quick

2018-05-07 07:10:51 UTC

Guys we can't allow them to get away with this historical revisionist propaganda like they always do.

2018-05-07 07:12:21 UTC

This is a rare moment where we can see communist socialism failing right before our eyes and the socialist apologists are trying to paint a different picture.

2018-05-07 07:12:44 UTC

So infuriating

2018-05-07 07:13:59 UTC

Another 'thats not real socialism' line of crap

2018-05-07 07:14:35 UTC

If it fails, it's not the communist utopia.

2018-05-07 07:15:33 UTC

"not real socialism"

"that's *state capitalism*"

and on it on it goes

2018-05-07 07:15:43 UTC

The "intellectuals" didn't accept it when the Soviet Union failed, they won't accept it now.

2018-05-07 07:17:27 UTC

As Sargon pointed out, Karl Marx said it would only work if the entire world turned communist. So, if a commie state fails, it can always be blamed on capitalism undermining it, by working better than communism.

2018-05-07 07:18:27 UTC

what do you call that sort of logic? its not exactly circular, yes?

2018-05-07 07:18:41 UTC

perhaps closer to infalsifiable

2018-05-07 07:18:45 UTC

ty

2018-05-07 07:18:51 UTC

That's the best thing *about* socialism/communism

Because it's so fantastical, any time an attempt to implement it fails, you can dismiss it as 'not being the real thing'

2018-05-07 07:18:55 UTC

i need like a flashcard for my logical fallacies

2018-05-07 07:18:57 UTC

It's not even wrong.

2018-05-07 07:20:31 UTC

I think the overwhelming majority of people look at capitalism and can recognise that it is not a utopian system - they can spot the rusted pipes and leaky faucets

Communism (or the attempts to implement by way of socialism) is responding to these problems by removing the roof from the house and flooding the basement

2018-05-07 07:20:56 UTC

communism just feels like slavery to the state to me

2018-05-07 07:21:41 UTC

And if you say "I'm all wet, can I get a towel?", you're an enemy of the state and get sent to the gulags.

2018-05-07 07:21:44 UTC

It's late but I just wanted to remind you guys to get your daily calcium

in my country, it is not very late yet

2018-05-07 07:22:29 UTC

They love to troll out the Great Depression as a capitalist failure, totally ignorant of what really happened.

2018-05-07 07:22:51 UTC

i need to study great depression

2018-05-07 07:23:59 UTC

Tired old debunked arguments

2018-05-07 07:25:14 UTC

you can always just point them to previous debunkery

2018-05-07 07:25:20 UTC

They are relics from the past like Cuba

2018-05-07 07:26:35 UTC

I have some really interesting ideas to do with the political compass thing

2018-05-07 07:27:38 UTC

Seems the further left you go, the more you think of the past and the farther right you go the more it thinks of the future, with the center being the present moment.

2018-05-07 07:28:02 UTC

Make sense?
