2018-05-31 03:41:03 UTC

Nah, animal cruelty is not exactly my cup of tea

2018-05-31 03:41:42 UTC

I don't think its animal cruelty, I'm pretty sure they tried to kill it to eat it.

2018-05-31 03:41:44 UTC

and it lived

2018-05-31 03:42:09 UTC

are you vegan btw?

2018-05-31 03:42:13 UTC

Yeah, i don't know the story behind it

I'd say 18 months of feeding an animal without a mouth, could be kind

2018-05-31 03:42:41 UTC

Also, i guess you break her neck to kill her fast before cutting her head

I've got just the man for the job!

"On September 10, 1945, farmer Lloyd Olsen of Fruita, Colorado was planning to eat supper with his mother-in-law and was sent out to the yard by his wife to bring back a chicken. Olsen chose a five-and-a-half-month-old Wyandotte chicken named Mike. The axe removed the bulk of the head, but missed the jugular vein, leaving one ear and most of the brain stem intact.

Due to Olsen's failed attempt to behead Mike, the chicken was still able to balance on a perch and walk clumsily. He attempted to preen, peck for food, and crow, though with limited success; his "crowing" consisted of a gurgling sound made in his throat. When Mike did not die, Olsen instead decided to care for the bird. He fed it a mixture of milk and water via an eyedropper, and gave it small grains of corn.

Although the story was thought by many to be a hoax, the bird's owner took him to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah to establish the facts."

Meh

2018-05-31 03:45:24 UTC

Still stupid

2018-05-31 03:46:11 UTC

Apparently it ended up dying because it choked on corn kernel in the middle of the night that it found

2018-05-31 03:47:24 UTC

lol

2018-05-31 03:48:00 UTC

I used to hear stories from my grandmother about when she was a kid and they would cut the chickens head off, it would run around the yard before it died quickly afterwards and all the children would think it was funny

2018-05-31 03:48:22 UTC

There is still blood pumping

2018-05-31 03:48:33 UTC

To be honest though it makes me a little sad to kill an animal, even though I'm not religious at all it feels almost what I see depicted as a pagan thing usually where they usually almost seem reluctant about it and are thankful for the animals sacrifice.

2018-05-31 03:55:19 UTC

I don't see a reason to be sad tbh

2018-05-31 03:55:23 UTC

It's just life

2018-05-31 03:56:08 UTC

Don't be sadistic

2018-05-31 03:56:14 UTC
