so if youre shooting to climb the political ladder youll need to do something on the side to supplement your income
well
this would be kinda hard to do when I don't have a car
see if you can carpool with someone or take the bus
I mean... ya I could probably take the bus, but it wastes a lot of time and I don't know if I want to be walking to the bus stop in my nice clothes
then get a car
I can't just poof a car into existence
I was dumb enough to fall for the university meme, so now I'm stuck being a poor college student for a few years
you can get a good old civic for 3-4k & insurance will be around 50-100 a month for basic bottom coverage
you wont be able to get a loan for that though or if you do the interest rate will be crazy high. usually loaning institutions really jam you up if youre getting an auto loan for less than 10k
ya if only I had 3-4k that I could withdraw without consequences
take the bus and save as much as you can in the meantime
My all time high in terms of how much money I had was around $18,000 lol
then crypto crashed
I think I just kinda ended up back where I started, so I'm not particularly bitter about it
@Koba Is it actually that easy to get a paid position? I was thinking of something unpaid like PCO
honestly Im not sure about that. I was looking at entry level GOP positions for PA and they usually start around 35-40k a year with decent benefits
state legislature here is about 90k a year plus benefits, but PA is the 3rd highest paying state legislature behind CA & NY I think
given the pay and how the party is mostly filled with 50+ Id say its probably easy to get a spot
Where did you find this information?
a couple of months ago I was filling out a spreadsheet for terms & position information for some project
I think it was an IE thing, but I cant remember
Whatβs up boys.
Question:
Is there a way to listen to the fire side chat after the live presentation?
@Undercover Academic - IL No. Be there or be square.
The local Republican party office isn't too hard to get to by bus
If it was a position where I didn't have to constantly go there and it wouldn't mess with school I could do this
PCO seems like a pretty easy way to gain power. There's only 314 of them in my country and you get to vote on who leads the county Republican Party.
ohh that makes a lot of sense
groups that I donated to in the past keep sending me surveys
Yeah when I said show up, I didn't mean once. I meant consistently volunteering and going to GOP events. They don't have a lot of enthusiastic young people, so they're glad to get us. Be warned though, some GOP offices have checked for and banned people because they showed their faces in IE photos
I thought it was just a marketing gimmick

docu about mexican cartels connection to opiate/heroin/fentanyl epidemic
but maybe they genuinely want donor opinions
good red meat for boomers
@TMatthews That's crazy
I wonder if they'd recognize me from the Spokane pictures
