I'm really confused as to why it's controversial to think that members in mandatory unions shouldn't be forced to pay mandatory fees that fund political speech they might not agree with.
If not forcing union members to pay dues used for political speech is a "death blow to unions," isn't that a de-facto acknowledgment that union members only pay dues because they have to and not because it's good for their interests?
